It was almost 3am when Dev's phone rang. The bussing sound was so strong that it stirred him in his sleep. He quickly answered the phone from his night stand and instantly, all the sleep from his eyes evaporated. Sona shuffled in her place and when she realised that Dev was talking to someone in the middle of the night, she slowly lifted herself up from the bed too.
His face looked pale as if he had yet to recover from a shock.
"What happened?" she asked as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Your father passed away."

Although Dev wasn't really happy with the way Sanjay died, he accepted that his death gave him the peace of mind. He was finally happy. He was worried that Sona might take her father's death in a negative way. But thankfully she didn't. She just moved on like it didn't matter to her at all. She talked to her grandparents that morning before she left for her school. Finally, everything just seemed normal
It was another evening, where Sona's college ended late. Arjun came to pick her up since Dev was busy with work. After a long wait at the carpark, he still didn't see her coming out. He was getting restless every minute as he walked down the path and kicked a few stones there out of boredom. His phone kept ringing and he rolled his eyes when he realised it was Dev.
"She's not out yet yaar.... I will message you once she comes okay? Just concentrate on your mission and chill Dev..." Arjun blasted once he placed the receiver on his ears.
"Urhummm" someone's cough from behind distracted him. He immediately turned around and saw a girl standing there clumsily.
"Give me a second bro, I will call you back." Arjun muttered and ended the call.
It was a girl in her early twenties, probably the college student. A small smile flashed across her face from beneath the reems of her hair. Even though it was gone quickly, it was still there. She dipped her head down, in what he guessed nervousness? Each of her shoulders curled in, towards her chest while carrying a huge box in her hands. Holding herself together amidst her fragility, she looked at him expectantly.
At first, he thought that she had mistaken him for someone else. But casting his eyes to the side, he could see that she was still waiting for him to acknowledge her.
"Yes? How can I help you?" Arjun asked, after placing the phone inside his pocket. The girl immediately looked up and pushed her hair aside from her forehead.
"You are Sona's driver, right?" she asked, and his eyes immediately widened. What did everyone think about him?
"Do I look like a driver to you?" he slightly raised his voice, and the girl's face immediately paled.
"Umm... I am...Sorry. Is this... Sonakshi's car?" she stammered.
"No... this is my car." Arjun folded his hands and stood straight infront of the scared looking girl. He found it amusing when the girl started fumbling with the box she was carrying.
Moving away, she started searching for someone there. Just as he was looking at her curiously, his phone beeped.
Grandma: Hi Arjun!!!! Dev just messaged me that you're here. I am stuck with some last minute assignments. My friend's there to pass you my stuff.... Please take it from her and give me another 5 mins! Tks :)
Arjun shook his head and looked at the girl who was searching around the place. She looked confused and drained from carrying lots of things. Arjun walked closer and cleared his throat. The girl immediately stumbled back the moment she turned around.
