"Which girl?" Arjun asked, bemused. He felt like he was holding his heart in his hands.
"That girl in the party that day... Sona's friend." He said and Arjun felt like the floor had slipped beneath him. His mind froze making his heart beat faster, diverting all the blood to his muscles and away from his gut.
"You mean..... Dor...I mean.... Tara?"
"Yes"

It was early morning. Dev woke up and saw Sonakshi curling up on the other side of the bed. He realised that she was getting too comfortable with his shirts in the recent days. With her soft wavy hairs covering her cheeks, she slept peacefully like a small child. How badly was he going to miss this mornings?
Sona felt wet kisses down her neck, waking her up from her deep sleep. She hated seeing morning sun, reminding her that Dev was going to leave soon for his trip. She didn't want to wake up to that news at all. Knowing that she could do nothing about it, irritated her more.
"Good morning love..." his husky voice made her feel so emotional.
"Bad morning! I don't want to go to college... Book a ticket for me and bring me with you too!" she mumbled with her eyes still closed. Dev sighed and hugged her from behind.
"Come on. You always complain that I am not in the bed with you while you wake up. Now that I am with you, why aren't you waking up? Open your eyes sunshine..." Dev played with her hair and repeatedly nudged her sides. Sona leaned back and snuggled closer to him.
"Devvvv... Do you really have to go?" she asked softly.
"Are we back to the same question again?.... Sona, I will be back. It's only four days..."
"It's ninety-six hours." She pouted.
"Awww come on love, I will call you every day. Okay?" he kissed her forehead as she just sighed and looked at the ceiling in daze.
"So, are you going to wake up now? We only have an hour left..." Dev asked again.
"Stop disturbing me.... You get ready first. I will sleep for another ten more minutes."
"This is your third 'ten more minutes' Sona. Get up now... I won't tolerate you, blaming me for being late for your college again." Dev huffed as he got up and walked towards his wardrobe. Sona looked up at him and sighed heavily. She really didn't want to leave him.
Waking up from the bed, she sat upright with a heavy grief settling in her heart. She didn't feel right... Something felt so wrong. She wished that she could plan a conspiracy and stop Dev from going anywhere. But even the thought of it, made her roll her eyes.

"Dev, I am really sorry. I shouldn't have spoken to you that way... I really didn't mean it like that...." Asha said as Dev just smiled in response.
"Please don't say all this maa. I totally understand. I mean, who wouldn't get angry? If I was at your position, I would have kicked myself too. I just want you to know that you are the best mother in this planet!" Dev kissed her cheeks and Asha just smiled.
"You have a way with your words...huh?" she grinned, making the breakfast.
"Of course! After all, whose son am I?" he lifted his collars and Asha just chuckled.
"So, going to leave your wife alone again?"
"Oh no, maa please. Don't start it now. If Sona hears it.... She will start crying again." Dev whispered, looking around to make sure Sona wasn't there yet.
