There was an eerie silence in the room. Sona didn't dare to look at him for a while. She couldn't even form what he was thinking inside his mind. All she heard was his rapid breathing and the sound of her own heartbeat. She could feel his gaze boring into her from the top. He was impatiently waiting for her explanation. But when she tilted her head to look at him, she knew it.

He was pissed.

-----------------------

Dev couldn't understand what she meant by 'ready'. He was so lost in the moment and all she did was, destroy it. He was pissed. Utterly pissed by her reaction and answers.

"What do you mean by not ready? We are married......you know that right?" he asked with a 'duh' tone.

"Yea I know...."

"Then?"

"Dev....I just can't do this now...."

"If it's fear....then I can understand. Everybody goes through this Sona.... You don't have to worry. I will be with you...."

"I mean.... It's not just that. I need some time Dev.......please" she whispered as her tone got softer and softer.

"What the fuck? Why are you talking as if I am forcing you into this? When I made a move, you reciprocated right.......Then what's wrong suddenly?"

"It's....not that Dev. I tried...... I just.....I am just.... Lost. I don't feel connected suddenly.... I....I don't even know how to say it... I need more time to adjust...... I feel too overwhelmed and agitated...... give me a few more days......please"

"More days........ How long more? We have been married for a month now? Isn't that much of time enough? Come on Sonakshi...... why don't you just say that you hate me straight away? At least it sounds more convincing" he snapped and detached himself from her. He stood up from the bed and gave her a disappointed look.

Sona's heart crushed as she stared at him. She did not mean it that way... she really tried. If she had really hated him, she wouldn't even have made a move. She truly like him.... But she just wasn't prepared to take her relationship to the next step. All she needed was some time to get used to him.

But seeing his reaction now, made her scared. He stormed from the bed and walked to his desk. Slamming the laptop shut, he threw the pen from the table. Dev was frustrated and annoyed with her constant rejections. He was so done with her tantrums. All he wanted was some love! He wanted to finally get the connection with her physically, but she was too reluctant to even let him close to her.

He couldn't bother about her point of view nor did he want to think about them. He was just tired!

He took his pillow and blanket with him. Ignoring Sona's pleadings, he walked to the couch and laid down there. He hated being angry with her but he couldn't help it. He was mentally frustrated and needed some space away from Sonakshi. He didn't care whether she was hurt or not because at the end of the day, he was always left uncared and hopeless.

Sonakshi looked at him helplessly while he sprawled himself against the couch. She knew that he couldn't sleep there for long. His body hardly fit inside the couch. His legs were outside and his neck was positioned in an uncomfortable way. But she didn't have an option. Nothing she said would bring him back... she wanted to apologize but seeing Dev's frustration, she decided to just keep quiet. He was extremely stubborn when it came to arguments. He would never agree with her when he was angry.

Sona knew that she had made him upset. But this time, she didn't feel like it was her fault. She believed that she had a say in their intimacy. She never wanted to make him feel like she disliked him or didn't reciprocate his feelings. She really loved to have him near her.
