Freedom (Deku x Reader)

Part 11

(Narrator's P.O.V)

Y/n and All Might were too focused on stopping each other to hear Midoriya's plea, until they felt his hands on each of their shoulders, attempting to pull them off of each other, but they were not budging.

"I SAID STOP!! YOU'RE GONNA KILL EACH OTHER!!!" All might pulled back off of her and y/n removed her hand from around the hero's throat. She looked to Midoriya, and her senses seemed to be coming back slowly. He let them go and watched them both get up. All three of them were panting in the middle of the thick dust cloud, unable to see anything else but each other. Y/n continued to looked at Midoriya, still influence by adrenaline as her entire being was still on edge.

Unfortunately, All Might, when he took a step back, nearly slipped on a loose rock, caught y/n off guard, and caused her to go off once more. She stomped her foot on the ground ahead of her. A wave of pressure then exploded from the ground below All Might, and in a split second, he was blasted into the air. He was fighting the blast, but the huge rocks and dirt in his eyes were too much as he flew back far enough out of the dust cloud, almost hitting the group of students. Midoriya was beside y/n as he stumbled back in shock, but quickly adjusted and ran to her. 

"Y/n! Stop!" He begged trying to stop her, but was shoved back as she turned, and jumped in front him, spreading her arms out wide. He stopped in confusion until 3 gun shots went off. Her body went rigid before stumbling forward. He caught her and looked down. Three bullets were now residing in the back of her legs as blood spread through the cloth. Y/n shakily put a hand on the green haired boy's shoulder and pushed off of him. He saw the pain evident in her eyes. They both heard the crack of a whip and saw it aiming their way through the dust. Midoriya went to stop it, but y/n pushed him to the ground. He stared and watched her get hit several times by the leather rope attempting to grab it, but she was too tired, hurt and beaten. Then he knew, she was trying to protect him.

(Midoriya's P.O.V)

"No! Please-" I tried to grab her to pull her down, but was struck in the face by the whip. My vision flashed for a moment, and instantly, a searing pain spread across my face, stunning me in place. 'Was this what she is experiencing?' I held my face in pain as I held back my whimpers. 

Glancing back, I saw y/n was staring at me with wide eyes, as the whip continued hitting her all over her back, but she didn't move, as if it no longer affected her. She placed her hand delicately on the spot where I got hit, and I winced at the pain, unintentionally pulling my face from her. Her breaths became heavy and loud, as I saw the angered look she had before, come back quicker than ever, while her pupils dilated. 

The whip cracked her back one last time before she grabbed it and yanked on it. I heard Midnight's yelp as she was finally pulled into view. Her side was still bleeding and the white material of her costume seemed to be scrapped off from the landing she had. The R-rated hero discarded her long whip and switched to the shorter frayed one and charged once again. "Midnight no! It won't work-!" I warned her too late.

 Y/n had put her hand in front of her as if signaling 'stop' and threw the other hand up in the air above her. I couldn't feel it, but everything around Midnight rose from the ground and seemed to tighten. Even Midnight's body herself. She stopped in her tracks. Her body was withering as she screamed out in pain. She was being crushed."Y/n! Stop!" I grabbed her from behind and pulled her arms down. She looked to me in surprise but didn't try to stop me. Midnight instantly dropped to the ground, heaving. 

All Might's voice was heard. "Aizawa!"

Then Mr. Aizawa called out. "Stop her!" 

FInally, Midnight weakly lifted her head from the ground with a grimace. "Mic! Now!" she ordered.
