Chapter Twelve - Lies?

Gilbert's POV

"So, she run away from me." I finished telling Charlie.

"Wow. Just like that?" asked Charlie with a frown.

"Just like that..." I said saddened.

"Why would she do that?" asked Charlie and I heard someone face-palm and I turned and looked at Ruby who joined us on the ground.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You guys have the emotional rage of a teaspoon." said Ruby and I frowned.

"And you can't come up with your own lines so you steal Hermione's." said Charlie as he crossed his arms.

Ruby simply rolled her eyes and looked at me.

"She likes you."

"Then, why did she leave?" I asked.

"Well, did you say something that might of made her act like that?" asked Ruby with an eye roll.

"No. I was sweet and charming..."

"Maybe, she doesn't like the what's so called charm of yours." said Ruby and my eyes widen.

"Don't be ridiculous." I said with a scoff.

"I mean who would not like his charm?" mimicked Charlie.

"Shut it, Charlie." I said and Ruby laughed.

"Gil... Think about it. As hard as it might be for you." said Ruby with a smirk.

"Ha ha ha. I'm glad my misery is fun m for you. Would you like some popcorn or maybe tea?" I snapped and Ruby shrugged.

"...Oh no." said Charlie as he face-palmed.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You did say that it wouldn't take you long to date her. Implying that she was an easy catch. She might of thought that this was our plan or something." said Charlie and I face-palmed.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" shouted Ruby as she pushed me.

"Respect the eldest."

"Eldest are supposed to be more wise, you are basically brainless." snapped Ruby.

"Hey. Don't talk to your brother like that." I warned and Ruby laughed bitterly.

"Oh please... I've lived with grandma here for nine years only seeing you on holiday. I think we have passed the respect part." said Ruby and I frowned.

"Why?"

"Well, it's not like you care." said Ruby as she stood up and cleaned herself up, while I stood up too.

"Of course I care." I said as I went to approach her.

"You not calling me says otherwise." said Ruby as she picked up her phone and walked out.

"Where are you going?" I said as I followed her to the door.

"I'm meeting up with my boyfriend." said Ruby and I frowned confused.
