Anne's POV

I'm seventeen and I am one year closer to leaving school.

I bet everyone would be like...

Finally or I can't wait to get out of here.

But, I'm a bit upset.

Let's just say that I love studying...

But, none knows.

Heres the thing.

I am Anne Shirley-Cuthbert, the daughter of Walter and Bertha Shirley.

Currently leaving with grandma and grandpa Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert.

Everybody thinks I'm stupid.

Why do they think so?

Because, I pretend to be.

"Anne, darling your boyfriend is here." said Marilla from downstairs.

That's Billy...

"Anne." said Billy as he gave me a quick hug.

"Hey Billy." I said with a bright smile.

Now, you're probably wondering... What is going on inside my head.

Well, let's just say. Billy had popularity and I needed it.

Which is also what made me act stupid all the time.

You see... Brains was the new stupid... How does this even make sense?

"Ready to go, babe?" asked Billy and I swear I wanted to throw up.

"Sure." I said as I followed him outside and got into the car with him.

I looked outside the window and I saw Jerry pretending to check his watch.

Flashback Begins

"How long will it be until you dump him?" asked Jerry, with a smirk.

"I'm not." I said and Jerry laughed at me.

"That's your fifth boyfriend in a year, Anne." said Jerry as he looked at me.

"So?"

"So, this isn't you." said Jerry.

"How would you know?" I asked, offended.

"I'm your brother." pointed Jerry out.

"That doesn't mean that you know me." I snapped and Jerry sighed and sat down next to me on the couch.

"I'm just saying. Don't change who you are to be accepted. It's just not worth it. You're a good and clever young woman who might be annoying but she is caring. One day, the right guy will see that." said Jerry as he put his hand on my shoulder.

"Until then. I'm just going to have fun." I said and got up.

"NOT TO MUCH FUN OR I'M TELLING MATTHEW." yelled Jerry after me and my eyes widen.

"You wouldn't." I gasped and Jerry smirked.

"Try me." answered Jerry with a raised eyebrow.

"I'll pass." I said and went towards the stairs.

"Where are you going?" asked Jerry.

"In my room... For what's worth. That bookworm Anne has grown up and you need to realize that or else you'll be hurting yourself in the process when it actually hits you." I said as I approached the stairs more.

"Hmmm... If so. What are you going to do?" asked Jerry and I could hear his sarcasm.

"Read." I said and I looked at a smirking Jerry. "Oh, shut it." I finished and walked up the stairs.

"I'll pass." I heard him mimic from downstairs and I rolled my eyes.

Flashback Ends

I just rolled my eyes and leaned my head on the seat's pillow.

Billy was driving a Subaru BRZ 2017. A sport's car for a jock. How cliché.

"Is everything alright?" asked Billy as he parked the car.

"Yes. I'm fine."

"Woooah. Keyword. You're not fine." said Billy with a soft smile.

"What?" I asked confused.

"It either means you're testing me or you don't want to talk about it." said Billy with now a proud smile.

"I'm actually fine." I said confused.

"Are you on your werewolf week?" asked Billy.

"My what?"

"You know the moody week."

"Do you mean... Oh God. Are you for real?" I said as I walked outside the car.

"It's a normal thing." said Billy.

"Which I would rather not talk about with you." I said and Billy sighed in relief.

"See ya later." said Billy as he kissed my cheek and left.

"That must of been the best thing I've ever witnessed." said Cole as he approached me, laughing.

"Let's just go inside." I said as I pushed him towards the door.

"Did you hear about the new kid coming to our school?"

"No, when?"

"That, I don't know yet. But, I'm meeting Mrs Lynde later for tea. I'll find out more." said Cole with a soft chuckle and walked inside with me trying to keep up with him.
