Anne's POV

It's Monday morning and I'm walking to school. I used to love it but now all we do is getting taught about wars over and over again. I mean, they're important but that makes a lot of people around my age think that our history is only based on wars.

"Oh look... Another date." I said to myself while I was highlighting... Basically, the entire book.

"Want to add one more date?" asked a guy from the seat behind me.

"Why would I want to have another date? I can barely memorize these ones." I said, confused and the guy sat back down with a frown.

"Are you kidding me?" asked Cole who put his things on my desk and sat on the seat next to mine.

"I think I should apologize. Well, not apologize, but accept his apology." I said and Cole smirked.

"You never forget that quickly."

"I forgive you."

"I'm an exception."

I was about to speak when Gilbert entered the classroom.

He looked at my direction and I quickly waved at him... But, he ignored me.

Maybe, he didn't see me.

"Gilbert...?" I asked as I stood up and tapped his shoulder.

He turned around and gave me a bored expression.

"Please go away..." mumbled Gilbert.

"What?" I asked not really sure I heard correctly.

"You need to leave, right this instance." continued Gilbert.

"I-"

"I'm not supposed to talk to you." said Gilbert loudly and kind of annoyed.

"Why not?" I asked, confused. I'm the one that's supposed to be mad... He just groaned and went and sat down at the seat that was the furthest from mine.

What the heck?

"Gil-"

"Let's sit. Everybody's watching." said Cole, comforting me as he guided me back to my seat.

"I don't care. He wants to fight with me? Please." I scoffed and Cole frowned.

"Please, don't act like this." said Cole with a frown.

"Like what?" I asked and he simply turned and looked away but I couldn't miss the disappointment in his eyes.

"Like your fake self..." I heard him mumble, but I decided not to do anything about it.

"Hello class..."

"Hello Mr Philips." said everybody in sync.

"Today, we'll unfortunately discuss you." said Mr Philips as he pointed at us.

"... Isn't that what you're supposed to do at school?" asked Moody as he looked at him confused.

"Excuse me. Did I give you the permission to talk?" asked Mr Philips, gratingly.

"No... But-"

"Then, shut it." said Mr Philips and Moody instantly obeyed, while he was saying some words that I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear.

"Idiot..." mumbled Cole from next to me.

"Language." I whispered.

"It's not like I'm insulting a kind person." stated Cole with a shrug.
