Gilbert's POV

"GILBERT?" I heard someone shout.

"Charlie my man." I said as I hugged him.

"I missed you, dude." said Charlie as he hugged me back.

"I did too. So, what's up?" I asked as I let go of the hug and patted him on the shoulder.

"The ceiling." said Charlie with a laugh.

"Funny." I said with an eye roll.

"How's your girlfriend?" asked Charlie.

"She really likes the x factor and she decided to put the ex in front of the girlfriend title as a proof." I said with a shrug.

"Or... You dumped her." said Charlie with a shrug.

"Yup." I said with a shrug but then continued. "Who is that cute redhead?"

"Anne?" asked Charlie.

"How am I supposed to know?" I asked, confused.

"The redhead that just left was Anne." said Charlie with a chuckle.

"O-Oh."

"You remember her, don't you?" asked Charlie with a wink.

"No." I said with a smile.

"You really don't- Hey Anne." said Charlie as he grabbed her wrist and I instantly smiled.

"I really need to go." said Anne as she tried to pull her hand away.

"Where?" asked Charlie.

"I need to wash my face."

That's when I got an idea.

"Gil, are you alright? You look a bit dizzy?" asked Charlie worried and I smirked but tried to hide it.

"Anne, I need your help." I said and she walked up to me.

"How?"

"My doctor says i'm lacking Vitamin U."

"I'm out." said Anne, annoyed as she went to walk away, but Charlie stopped her again.

"You remember Gilbert, right?" asked Charlie, hopefully as he turned her around.

"He says that we've met, but I don't remember you." I explained a bit farther and I could be wrong, but I think I saw hurt in Anne's eyes, before it got replaced by a smile.

"I don't remember you either. He might of been mistaken." explained Anne.

"Wh-" started Charlie but I interrupted him.

"See Charlie? I don't believe I've introduced myself. Gilbert Blythe." I said and I took my hand out for her to shook it, but she simply stared at it.

"Cool." said Anne and walked away.

"I HAVE A FEELING THAT YOU DON'T LIKE ME WHEN I'M NOT FLIRTING WITH YOU." I yelled after her and she turned around from the end of the hall and said.

"I DON'T EVEN LIKE YOU THEN." yelled Anne and disappeared in the halls.

"Ouch." said Charlie with a laugh.

"She will definitely like me. I'm giving it until the end of the week." I said with a nod.

"You have four days, counting today." said Charlie with a frown.

"Please, girls like me from the first five minutes. How hard can it be?" I smirked.

"I don't know. How hard Gilbert?" said a voice from behind me and I turned and saw Anne.

My eyes instantly widen.

"I-"

"You what? You think you can play with every girl you meet? Surprise love, you can't play a player." said Anne with a raised eyebrow.

"You look ill..." I said, trying to change the subject.

"I'm fine."

"You look ill. You must be suffering form a lack of Vitamin ME." I said and Anne bitterly laughed.

"You think you can beat me at my own game?" asked Anne with a smirk.

"I already did, princess."

"We've not even started, darling." answered Anne and Charlie awkwardly took a step back.

"Give me your best shot." I said as I crossed my arms.

"You first..."

"Ladies first..."

"Stop being a sexist and start."

"Category?" I asked and Anne smirked.

"Percy Jackson series."

"Oh Please... You're so hot, that you'd even give Hades chills." I said as I crossed my arms.

"If I was the daughter of a God I would probably be Poseidon's, because I'm drowning in your love." said Anne and I stared at her shocked.

"How?"

"I told you, don't play my game. Because, the creator always knows the deepest secrets of it." said Anne and she walked away.

"You really don't remember her?" asked Charlie when he walked back at me.

"No. Tell me who she is." I said eagerly.

"She is the girl that you hanged out with, before you left. The one you promised to marry one day. Anne -"

"Shirley-Cuthbert." I finished shocked.

"...And he is back." said Charlie with a clap.

"Before I left I promised that I would marry her one day, and that's what I'm planing on doing." I said determined. "...Or maybe have my fun."

"This should be interesting..." said Charlie and I nodded as I walked home.

Since, the teacher allowed me to do so on the first day.
