The air is cold and filled with rain, I stand next to Ivar as we look on the people are burning things once again, this is to trick the Saxons into believing we are dying out, My head snaps to the right as I see Ardan walk up towards us. he smiles up towards us.
"The Archers are in place, Elish, Khal, and Evelyn stand ready with your brothers my king" He states bowing towards Ivar, Ivar nods towards him
"Let us hope they attack soon," Ivar says looking at me through the hood onto his head. As the rain pours down I breath in the sent, I frown as a pale-faced Kai makes his way towards me nodding to me, I tough Ivars arm, signalling him to look at me
"I am going to take my place now," I say before I could let go of his arm, Ivars hand wraps around mine
"Promise me you will be safe" He asks his blue eyes boring into mine, I nod as he let goes of my hand before he does he pulls it up to his lips to kiss it, I smile at him as I fall into step next to Kai, He looks like he has seen a gosht.
"What is wrong Kai," I ask frowning towards my trusted friend
"I saw her in my dreams last night, she was on a battlefield much like today, it was raining, I fear I might die today" He whispers to me. I stop and turn to him in shock. I let out a sigh and continue on walking
"Then I will see you in the afterlife, my dear friend," I say before taking my place next to Ubbe. The Viking nods at me in greeting. I look forward as I hear the screams of fighting from all around me, Ubbe screams next to me causing me to jump into action. rain and blood stains my body as I swing my blade into the chest of a Saxon, I can see the mans life leave him as I kick him from my blade, Ivar the wind whispered to me causing me to jump into action and run ahead of Ubbe and the people following us, I come to a horror sight causing me to take a step back, Ivar is surrounded by Saxons, they stand in front of him as he screams in his mother tongue as I step forward Ubbe places his axe before me, looking on as his brother screams I frown at him, arrows shoot in the direction of Ivar
"Protect your King" I scream as my people come from the shadows Eilish is front and centre pulling people with her to stand and protect Ivar with their shields, soon Ubbe decides to attack again. I Run towards Ivar as he screams, I slide in the mud as I fall down next to him, His face is covered in blood as he laughs, Throwing his axe, I smile at him and let out a sigh, for a moment time has stopped as Blue and grey clash creating a storm. It was like for the first time we understood each other, trusted in one another...

I let out a sigh as another battle is won, my body is aching, my wet hair lets droplets fall onto Ivars armour as I wipe the blood off his face, Ivar eyes never leave my face, as I shift in his lap he gives me a dashing grin. his arm is around my waist as one of his hand rest on the small bump.
"What were you screaming at them," I ask as he closes his eyes from me to wipe there, I can feel him let out a breath
"I told them who I was and that they could not kill me" he blinks and looks towards me again "will you ever trust me again?" He asks as I get off his lap, sighing I turn to him
"It's her I do not trust, she looks like a woman who wonders to men who are in power, and your power is my power, I can't have someone coming in a taking it"
"I will have people make sure she stays away from me hum, will that make you feel better" Ivar ask crawling towards me, I kneel to be on his level
"Khal by your side is all I ask for, but if you feel some of your people should accompany him, very well," I say getting up, a sharp pain shoots through me, frowning, the heavy wooden door is pushed open, Khal makes his way to us running almost, Lili is by his side, her face is pale and eyes bloodshot. Ivar and I both frown at the pair.
"I am so sorry" Khal whispered falling to his knees in front of me and Ivar, I frown at the man once more "Kai has passed my Queen, killed by a Saxons blade" I step back in shock, Ivar looks to me in worry, I pull my hand to my chest as tears form in my grey orbs " All I ask now my Queen, is let me marry Lili to protect her please, it is what my brother would have wanted" I look to him in disgust
"You want to marry his wife?" I ask my voice fading as more tears and sadness hit me, by now I was a sobbing mess as Ivar crawled towards me as I slide my body down a pillar, my cries and sobbing echoes of the walls as Ivar pulls me towards him, holding me close "Ask...Ivar" I say softly as I hold onto Ivar
"I do not see why not, we will hold your wedding tomorrow, tell Evely to get ready " Ivar states as I sob into his chest, I can hear them leave as the heavy door are closed I let out a scream, Kai the man that saved my life, Kai who the man who stood by my side, he would have died for me and now he has, he died for his King and he will be honoured.
"Shhhhh... Morrigan, my love I am so sorry" Ivar whispers holding me close as I mourn for my friend who was stolen from me, who was taken to early, who I will live one for until we meet again in the afterlife.
