"So.....that's it?" Shizuo asked hopefully.

"Yeah....that's it, Shizu-chan." Izaya answered.

"Alright.....but what about that other guy?" Shizuo asked with worry.

"The sniper? We don't need to worry about him anymore. Let's just say that he is about to, if not already, have a surprise visit from the Yakuza and Awakusu." Izaya said with a smile.

Shizuo was about to ask, but decided against it immediately, not wanting to know.

As of right now, the two of them were sitting on the couch at Izaya's apartment again.

Both of them were exhausted, Izaya more physically and Shizuo more mentally.

On their way back to the apartment, they made a stop by Shinra's to get Izaya patched up.

Shinra was surprised, and not surprised, when a bloody Izaya and a worried Shizuo showed up to his door.

The two made no other stops back to the apartment besides that, and they immediately crashed onto the couch when they got there.

Everything was fixed.

Everything was okay.

Yet Shizuo couldn't make the dread filling his stomach go away.

What happens now?

Do I....leave?

...But I don't want to.

I really don't want to.

He......

Afterall....the whole reason that I was brought into this was to protect Izaya.

..But....

The threat is gone now.

....Does....does he want me to...leave?

I don't want that.

But....if he.....am I......shit.

Am I....just a bother now?

But if he wants me gone....then....

"Quit thinking such stupid stuff." A voice spoke up.

Shizuo's head shot to Izaya in surprise and shock.

What the fu-!

"Calm down. I can't read your mind or something. You just let your emotions show so clearly on your face, especially with you so deep in thought, that it would be difficult to not correctly guess what you are thinking about." Izaya said flatly.

"But I have to ask, to make sure." The raven added.

"Are you thinking of leaving?" Izaya asked.

The question lingered in the air.

Shizuo didn't want to leave, but he didn't know if he was welcome anymore either.

Shizuo tried to explain this.

"Well...I-" The blonde was stopped by a foot kicking him in the ribs.

"Nevermind. Shut the fuck up. Right now." Izaya said darkly, before letting out a sigh and retracted his foot with a wince from his injuries.

"Listen, I have no intentions of letting you go." Izaya said.

....Wait....

....What?

"So....you....don't want me to leave?" Shizuo said, hopeful.

Izaya looked blankly at him for a moment before laughing.

After a few more seconds of laughter, he let out a happy sigh and smiled. He then crawled into Shizuo's lap and hugged him around the neck, pulling him closer.

Shizuo was surprised by the raven's sudden actions, but quickly wrapped his arms around the raven's waist.

"I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you. I'm happy with just being here with you, and I wouldn't want it any other way." Izaya said with a soft smile, while touching his head with Shizuo's.

Now it was Shizuo who smiled.

"You know what? That sounds like a perfect plan to me." The blonde responded.

The two leaned in, and their lips met.
