Nakabalik sila ng hospital without saying a word. Elmo paid for their lunch tho Julie insisted that she’ll do it, but Elmo did it faster anyway.

Nasa labas na sila ng room ni Tracy and kakatok na sana si Elmo nang biglang nagsalita si Julie.

“Maybe I should go home.”

Napalingon si Elmo at napatingin kay Julie, “Is there something wrong?”

Umiling si Julie, “No. Kasi I don’t think I’m welcome here. I mean I don’t really know her and hindi rin naman niya ko kilala talaga so you know.”

“Julie, you don’t have to know a person first before you care for her. Tracy is a nice kid, she’ll be happy to know you better.”

For the first time, sinuklian ni Julie ng tingin ang mga tingin ni Elmo. And guess what? Hindi siya naweirduhan, she actually felt better after what Elmo told her.

Kumatok na si Elmo and just seconds after bumukas ung pinto, and Isabelle is the who opened it and ngumiti siya nung makita ang mga bisita.

Isabelle closed the door behind her nung nakapasok na yung dalawa nilang bisita.

“Hi there, pumpkin.”

“Papa Elmoooww!!” Tracy shouted excitedly. She is still lying down on her bed, but from her shout a while ago, mukhang unti-unti ng bumabalik ung lakas niya. May dextrose pa rin pero wala ng oxygen na nakakabit sa ilong niya but there’s still the tank beside her bed, just in case for emergency.

“Easy there.” Natatawang sambit ni Elmo sabay upo sa upuan katabi ng kama ni Tracy. Elmo looked around and realizes that Vicente is nowhere to be found.

“Bumili lang si Vicente ng lunch namin pero pabalik na yun.” Says Isabelle nung mapansin niyang may hinahanap si Elmo.

Elmo nods and Julie approached them slowly, standing beside Elmo.

“Oh, Tracy, this is –”

“Ate Ju-lie.” Tracy continued, and since 2 years old pa lang siya, hindi pa siya ganon kagaling magsalita.

Nagulat si Elmo, “You know her?”

Tumango si Tracy.

“Bumisita daw kasi siya last week, nabanggit ni Vicente saakin.” Isabelle was the one who answered, knowing that her child also wants to say that.

Napatingin si Elmo kay Julie but still talking to Tracy, “Oh, she did?”

“Yes. Puh-retty. Papa Elmo, girlfriend mo?”
