It's a little less than a month until the baby is due. Shawn and I have still been looking for a name, we've got two but we keep on coming back to skylar. We both said we were going to wait for her to come before we settle with skylar.
Today was the day of our baby shower and it's big. We have around 75 people coming. It was SUPER pink and cute. It was bigger than the one we had with Nathan because people actually knew and we got a planner for this one.
I sat in my chair as I got my makeup done. Nathan hobbled in with Shawn. "Hey." I tried not to look at him and Nathan.
"Hi, I was wondering before we left; what time do you want us to come back?" Shawn asked as he placed Nathan on his hip.
"Last half hour, I'll text you."
"Okay, What should I wear?"
"Just a white shirt."
"And Nathan?"
"His shirt is on the sofa downstairs."
"Alright, I'm gonna get ready."
"Bye, love you." I replied
"Bye Shawn." Ariel smirked because he had the biggest crush on him.
Ariel waited for Shawn to leave before he started talking. "How are you?"
"I'm so nervous for the baby. I think it's hitting harder the closer we get." I rubbed my VERY pregnant belly. "Shawn Hes just so excited and I don't think he realises that we've got two now."
Ariel cleared his throat and I looked up and saw Shawn. Hopefully he didn't hear anything. He strolled in and sat down on the bed with Nathan sitting Besides him watching those random kids shows.
"Why do I have to leave, can I just stay here throughout the whole thing?" Shawn blurted out.
"You can stay, but it's just a tradition that the husband or the baby's dad joins later on."
"Please can I stay han?" He begged.
"Yeah, to be honest, it 2021, who gives a fuck!" I shouted then slapped my hand over my mouth because I swore VERY loudly in front of Nathan.
"Bad mummy!" Shawn joked.
"Baby mummy!" Nathan squealed.
"Have you guys thought of a name?"
"We've got one that we both really love and we want to use but we aren't sure if we are, we really want to meet her first then think of a name. We've got a mirror at the venue with pens where you can write down names and stuff so hopefully we fall find one."
"Is she going to have a middle name?"
"Yeah, we know 100% it's going to be Elizabeth and Karen because of our parents, we aren't sure which order though." Shawn responded.
"I kinda wanna change Nathan name. I want it to be Nathan Manuel Anthony mendes, just so he has both of his grandparents names and not just one of them."
"Yeaaahh, I don't know why we didn't from the beginning, it's a bit silly." I giggled.
We carried on speaking and then my makeup was done and I was ready for my baby shower. It was so quick and fun.
