Caroline's Pov-

I held my ears as I listened to Enzo being tortured. I hated it here every aspect of it. How we were locked up, tortured, barely fed. I've been here for 6 months now and all I wanted was to see my daughter. My eyes flash up when I see Enzo getting helped into the room and thrown into his cage. The women leaves so I flash to him and grip the bars of the cage to stop me from hitting something or yelling. He was bruised and bloody not healing because Damon had been taking his rations of blood.

"Enzo bud you okay?" Damon calls out peering through his cage with worry.

"I'm- I'll be alright." He groans I smile at him as he winks at me.

"Okay get some sleep," I whisper to him reaching through the bars and brushing his hair out of his face. He smirks and closes his eyes falling asleep soundly.

I sat awake for a few hours talking with Damon but soon fell asleep. I didn't know how much time passed until I woke up to Doctor asshole (which I later found out his real name is Doctor Whitmore) telling us to get up to show his findings to fellow scientists for his new years party the one Damon and Enzo told me which was when there plan would take place. 

I groan as I stretch and sit up. He opens Damon's cage but I notice as Damon begins to break his hand to get out of the cuffs that are around his hand. He digs his thumbs into the doctor's eyes. The doctor screams in agony and I smile. He deserves everything coming to him. Then Damon bites into his neck and the man's body falls to the floor. The guests scream and begin to run out. One lady ends up knocking over a candle and it catches a rug on fire. Damon continues to kill the few left not letting them get away. I stare on in horror and interest at how his body works as he bites into their necks and snaps them. I look at Enzo and see him staring on in utter amazement and fear. By this time flames surround us not completely engulfing the room but we were a few minutes away from it. A woman begins to run by so I flash to the door begging her to let me out. She looks at the key already in the hole and begins to take it out. I grab her hand stopping her from locking me in and she takes out a needle immediately shoving it into my neck. I drop to the ground my head begins to spin. I wasn't entirely out of it, yet. Enzo yelled out and began to bang against his cage.

With blurred vision, I see Damon rip the girl away from my cage and snaps her neck. Vervain begins to fall from the ceiling. He kills the man and hurries to twist the key in my cage and it opens. I begin to laugh in happiness though tears keep falling at how I was finally out. Finally free. He gently lays me down and hurries to help Enzo out. He pulls and pulls on the cage but nothing happens because he was lacking strength from the vervain that was on the cages.

"Damon get her out of here," Enzo yells.

"I can't Enzo the only reason I survived all of this was because of you. You're my best friend. I can't leave you." Damon calls out I look at them with great sadness. Just then a dark figure walks in the room. Damon and Enzo immediately notice him and defensively stare at him.

"Come on we got to get out of here." The man calls out. I couldn't see him entirely because of my blurred vision but I knew I knew him from somewhere. It hung over me the entire time he spoke. To add to that the ringing in my ears caused his voice to echo.

"Who the hell are you?"Enzo yells back.

"I'm here to save the girl. I give you my word after I get her out of her I'll leave." Damon nods his head.

"Okay Okay just help me get my friend." The man nods going towards Damon but a piece of the roof falls. WAIT, It's coming straight for me. I look up watching the gigantic piece of fire coming for me unable to do anything. The man flashes to me picking me up and flashing out of the way. Tears fall down my face.
