I hate arranged marriage stories and for some reason, I am not a fan of stories with Royalty (like Kings and Queens and stuff).
Any advice for budding authors who don't know where to start?
Um, just write what you like! If you can't get a story in your head, just think about what you love or what you know and base characters around that! Once I have my characters, a whole bunch of story possibilities run through my head and it's almost impossible to choose one!

What are they like?
She is kinda your normal, in-love teenager. She has a crush on this guy and she works and helps her best friend through everything. She cares for her siblings even though they fight and she's a pretty smart girl. When she gets chosen for the Hunger Games, everything crashes down on her. We'll have to see what happens after that ;)
Summary/Synopsis of the story: :
District 7, the Lumber District, is home to pine trees, axes, and the constant drama of Johanna Mason, one of District 7’s most unusual habitants, and Hunger Games survivor; twice. Gillian Rathbone isn’t the strongest, isn’t the smartest, but she’s fast, and may have to use that when she gets picked for the 99th Annual Hunger Games. Coming from District 7, she has to deal with Johanna as a mentor, and hope for the best, because the odds don’t seem to be in her favor. When you are stuck in a home with a single mom and four siblings, you’ve just left the boy you had a date with and you’re behind in your work, you already have enough to deal with… Life isn’t giving Gillian a break, but she has to hope that she can pull together enough to make it out of the arena, alive.
Extra information about the story:
It's the first of atleast 2 novels. Um, it's the 99th Hunger Games, obviously the second is about the fourth Quarter Quell. I mean, otherwise I wouldn't have it right before a Quell. ;)
