I absolutely hate cliche romance novels, twilight fanfics, 1D fanfics, JB fanfics(unless you're like me and you create a fanfic to totally hate on him XP )I don't like LGBT stories either. Though BoyxBoy intrigues my slightly.
Any advice for budding authors who don't know where to start?:
Just keep trying, develop your plot and let the characters take over ^^

What are they like?:
Currently, she's nice, sarcastic, upbeat and just wants to keep learning how to control her powers. She has black hair with dark purple highlights, and black eyes that tint red sometimes. She's a Shadow(it's explain in the book XP) and aspires to be the strongest(cliche character development? You'll see heheheheh XP)
Summary/Synopsis of the story:
One time, long, long ago, there was a world. And in that world, there were two separate beings. One of the beings was though to be of dark nature, and the other of light. They were constantly fighting, yet neither could seem to be killed off. One day, one of these beings sought greater power, and ended up destroying the world everyone loved. Two beings saved it. These beings were the ones thought to be a darker nature. As a curse, they stripped every being of their power, and banished them to a land called "Earth." Powerless, these beings became evil, and corrupt in search for a power that could rival the one they used to have. They lost sight of their nature, and regressed to the weak people they truly were. Then, an occurrence, a slight default in the saviors' spell, happened. Some humans started to change. They were regaining their lost powers. But not all a good. There are always two sides of a coin, and these humans turned back into that coin. There were once more Fallen and Shadows in the world.
Extra information about the story:
Fallen used to be human. Their trademark is their blue eyes. They protect humans at all costs. Shadows used to be either Fallen or human. Their trademark is their black eyes that tint red with bloodlust. They need human flesh and blood to survive. Pure Shadows cannot eat human food. It's like poison to them.
