so yesterday my dad's side of the family came over to celebrate late christmas as we always do. my oldest sister got me a lance sweatshirt that i almost cried over:

i immediately put it on and haven't taken it off since, but the rest of the time my family was here, they all kept asking who it was on my sweatshirt and i said "he's a character from a dreamworld cartoon that i really love" "what show?" "it's a remake of a show from the eighties, Voltron"
i had this conversation with my dad's older sister, and she said "i don't know anything about that stuff, but Neil would get it. he's really into that kind of stuff." as if i know who the fuck neil is???!! i've been wondering this whole time... like i recognize the name but not the person???
