"Friendship"

Ok so let me catch you up:

Last week on a science test I forgot how to do basic subtraction and I got the test back today and I got the question wrong because no math was involved and it was a trick question and my teacher is trying to make us fail

Also my theology teacher moved out test a third time to this Thursday, but the thing is we have a quiz on virtues every Thursday for the entire semester (last semester it was memorizing prayers) so I asked her if we were taking the test AND the virtue quiz and she said "I don't know" in a tone that was like "oh I know but I'm gonna make you stress about it any way" and I hand my hand raised today in class for about ten minutes wanting to ask if we were taking the quiz and the test on the same day and she didn't even look at me once

So yeah. Demon spawn.

Anyway I just finished homework for theology and I remembered a page in our book I had a good laugh at: it's a page about true friendship and comparing it to God's love for the Chosen people or whatever, but they stupidly included this picture:

"Friendship" uh huh. Sure. No homo bromo

In English we're reading a book called "a separate peace" by John Knowles, which is set in 1942, and I'm pretty sure this character Finny is gay. The book is told from Gene's POV(Finny is his best friend) and let me just give you a quote from the book:

"Finny trapped me again in his strongest trap, that is, I suddenly became his collaborator ... Finny was right. And there was only one way to show him this. I threw my hip against his, catching him by surprise, and he was instantly down, definitely pleased. This was why he liked me so much. When I jumped on top of him, my knees on his chest, he couldn't ask for anything better."

Now tell me: does that sound normal for 1940s straight high school boys at a boarding school? I think not.

Finny also has this pink shirt he wears that gene said made him look like a fairy and he responded with
"Does it? I wonder what would happen if I looked like a fairy to everyone," and he wore the shirt all day. Iconic.

I just bought a new backpack for school since my zipper decided to break so that's fun. It's a jansport and those last forever, where as my current bag is a shorty off-brand jansport.

All right enough of my babbling. Good evening, snazzbeans ;) Nijineko139
