"You know..." Viola stopped when we approached the battlefield "I'm going to be nice for once. If you leave now, I'll spare your lives. I have better things to do than mess with weaklings" Xavier helped me walk and glared at her.
"I'm up to any challenge! Bring it on!" I frowned at his confidence and looked at Viola watching me.
"Whats so important that you have the need to let us leave here alive?" I asked. She smirked.
"I'm heading to the castle" I flinched "Apparently something big happened... something illegal had escaped the walls" I cupped my mouth, knowing she was talking about me. So it took them this long to find out? "It's up to you. Leave alive or stay and die? It's really your choice" she giggled. Xavier sent out Frogadier.
"Bring it on, bitch!" He yelled. She rolled her eyes and made her way to the other side of the field.
"I haven't really said this in a minute, but I am Viola. I'm a bug type gym leader and a council member of the Kingdom of the Kalos! It won't matter though, you and your little friend won't be alive long enough to tell people who I am. I like your determination, so I accept your challenge" she glanced at me again "once I kill him, I'm coming after you" I hid behind Xavier readying himself for battle, hearing her laugh at my insecurities.
Viola sent out her own Pokémon and the battle had begun. Xavier shouted and pushed his Pokémon towards victory, but it wasn't so easy...
"Vivillion! Dodge and use Silverwind!" Viola shouted. Her Pokémon groaned in pain before flapping its uneven wings to attack a massive amount of wind. Frogadier could hardly stand a chance.
"Dammit... She's so much stronger than any trainer I've ever faced" he muttered to himself. Is this really how he needs to learn..? He put his pride before his brain. Council members have different blood than regular vampires, so of course they're stronger. Her Pokémon are even stronger because of her blood!
"Bubblebeam!" He shouted. Vivillion moved out the way in less than a second.
"Hurricane!" Viola laughed. The massive amounts of wind caused Frogadier to fly off and slam into the wall.
"Frogadier!" Xavier gasped at his last Pokémon. I cupped my mouth, watching him run towards his fainted Pokémon and try to get it to wake up "no! No! Frogadier! Please wake up! I need you!" He groaned and hurried to dig something out his bag "I can't lose now! I still have this-!"
"I admit, you were pretty strong" Viola laughed, interrupting him "But it takes a lot more than inserting regular vampire blood into your Pokémon's system. There was never a chance for you to win, so why did you decide to not leave when I gave you the chance?" Xavier took out another Pokéball and was slightly shaking with anger.
"I wasn't going to let my grandfather's death go in vain! He worked hard to get where he was and was considered one of the best! You monsters were the one that killed him! It's because of your kind that made this world hell!" My heart sank. So that's why he's doing this. This was much more than his ego. He does want revenge...
I looked back at Viola laughing like he just told a joke "That's what he gets for trying to mess with us! We are above the food chain, dear! Why bother if you know you can't survive?" She appeared in front of him, grabbed his neck, and threw him in the middle of the field.
"Xavier!" I gasped. He groaned and sat up, holding his elbow in pain, still holding onto that Pokéball. Oh no... did something happen..? I looked at Viola's eyes turn black and her fangs stuck out her hungry smile.
"I haven't killed anyone in a long time... I hope your blood taste better than it smells" I knew what she was going to do once she takes another step. I grabbed my vampire blade and threw it at her neck at the perfect spot where she was midway towards him.
