We were taken to a nice tea room and surrounded by many human servants serving us. For a place this big, servants are always necessary. The main thing my friends look at was whether the staff had been treated fairly and not as slaves.

I sat in silence while my friends were talking to the man about the palace and anything else regarding the rumor. From what a messenger told me before while teaching me about vampirism is that Duplicates aren't noticeable by vampires from smell, but if a vampire were to ever attack one, the demon blood mixed within the Duplicate will kill the vampire moments after taking their blood. These Duplicates are treated like Nobels, and will be respected no matter what. I feel nervous just being in the same room as one.

I put my attention more on the servants while everyone else was focused on the owner, Scott. They seemed fairly normal, but silence has its own screams.

For the most part, everything was normal. I kept ignoring Scott staring at me looking around the place "Why don't you explore some of the books?" He asked me. I stood up and walked up to a book case to observe the dozens of amazing books in here. My friends didn't mind me, so I looked around and took one out that caught my eye

"Mega Evolution..?"

"You got yourself a good book there!" Scott walked up to me in the middle of Trevor's questions. Scott stood beside me while I had the book open and leaned down to look at the page I was on. I tried my best not to gag at his horrendous scent and looked at his finger pointing at a symbol I've seen probably once in my life.

"This is a old technique back decades ago where a trainer use to bond with their Pokémon to the max and have them evolve pass their final evolution" I gasped mentally and became more interested in the book then his scent.

"That's possible?" This man was overly friendly towards me and towards me only. He was formal towards my friends, but he always had his eyes on me and seemed like he wanted my attention more than everyone else.

"Yes. Unfortunately I do not have my key stone anymore. It's a stone that activates the mega evolution of a stone your Pokémon is holding" my eyes sparkled at the pages "I had to give it away after I've lost my Pokémon a very long time ago" he told me. I looked at him staring at the floor "Life is just not the same without Pokémon, you know? It's just very lonely" His humanity fled, making his appearance make Pokémon fear him, even if he still has his brown eyes.

He's been lonely, and still has a bit of humanity, but he is labeled as one who birth vampires. Duplicates are only important for the reproductive system. They were made simply because the Elite four didn't want to risk my mom dying during childbirth if a time ever came. Duplicates were artificially created with royal and demon blood, and they could birth full fledge vampires.

"I'm sorry to hear that" I said. He smiled again to me.

"That's alright. My grandson has a Pokémon of his own that looked like the one I use to have. He lends it to me from time to time to bring back those moments of happiness"

"Your grandson?" I questioned.

"Yes. He'll be coming soon. It'll be nice if you get to meet him" he took my hand again "You haven't had your tea yet"

"Thank you, but I don't drink tea" I took my hand away "It's too bitter for my tastebuds" strangely enough, any kind of tea just doesn't go well with me "Forgive me" he nodded and looked at my friends.

"Let me take you around the palace. I'm sure we can find my grandson somewhere. Shall we?" He walked towards the door with my friends standing after. They all came to me.

"He's a bit weird. Did he make you uncomfortable?" Tierno whispered. I mouth 'a little'

"He just seems like a normal creep" Shauna shrugged "The servants look pretty normal as well. Would it hurt to look around? Since the mission is cleared?"
