Chapter 21: Nurse*

Augustine had witnessed me talking to Alexa, the vampire that had snuck into the front gates and attacked a few students, as well as being Viola's sister, and watched me jam my hand into her chest to grab her heart and spit my own blood into her wound. She dropped dead after answering my questions.

"Yannie?" Augustine walked into the room after I tossed the heart onto the dead body. Shauna quickly came out to grab some blood samples before the body turned into dust. I felt numb after behaving the way I did... She answered every question I asked her, fearing for her life and begging to be spared.

I looked at Augustine coming up to me to hug my head, telling me everything was okay. All I could do was tear up in silence and take in what Alexa told me.

The population that was cut from Viola's bonding had gotten vampires to search for hunters through out the land. Any Hunter they see, they attack. Many had turned out dead, even if they weren't the cause of the chaos. Alexa was the only one bold enough to enter the academy, and attacked a student enough to almost kill him, because I killed her sister.

The Elite Four had heard about this, and it spread to the other leaders. There was no knowledge if my mom knew about any of this, since she was busy, but I fear the most. The Elite four decided to not make a outbreak and let it go for now, but if more leaders are killed, they will find the one responsible and will torture them for the rest of their life, going as far as turning a human into a vampire and hurting them more so that they won't die as easy.

The Elite four are demons... They will go that far to torturing the one responsible, and that person will be me. I am already a vampire, and they might force me to drink blood that makes me sick and laugh at me for the disgrace I am. More or less, I didn't even care about what happens to me... I don't want anything happening to Xavier.

"I'm fine" I said, moving away from Augustine "I'm hungry..." he nodded and pet my head.

"Shauna, please take Yannie to get some food" Shauna nodded and took my hand to get freshen up in the restroom before taking me to the empty cafeteria to order some food from the lunch ladies who were preparing food for dinner later.

"Thanks" I said, leaning on the table exhausted "I need a lot of food right now after what I took in"

"I can see how you're exhausted. I don't know if I'll be able to take it" Shauna sat next to me and kicked her legs in the air, waiting for my food to be ready "It's a good thing we came here at this time. After the lunch ladies are done cooking, they leave on their breaks until dinner is ready for the students. We came at a good time" I rested my head on my arms, wanting to know why things have to be this way. Shauna just looked at me before leaving to get my food.

"Dinner is served!" She cheered, handing me two plates of delicious smelling food.

"Aren't you going to eat?" I asked, taking a plate and already started devouring it all.

"Don't worry about me. You need the food more than me" she giggled and checked her phone "Do you think food will keep you alive any longer without Xavier's blood?" I responded with my mouth full.

"I don't want to take it without him giving it to me. I refuse to receive it any other way" I finished my two plates and just had the erg to eat more. I hate having to live like this... I never even ate like this back in the castle. My body craving his blood all the time is not healthy for him... I can't take it everyday like Augustine suggested. It won't even be better if I took it once a week like a regular vampire takes blood. Xavier is the only one of his kind! Not even his mom can provide the blood I need.

"To think you need him to survive... his blood is only useful to you. It's like your soulmates" I blushed when she said that, remembering Xavier said the same thing as well. I didn't say anything and just played with my plates, wishing the lunch ladies didn't leave so I could take some more food "he should be getting out of punishment soon. He wasn't in the basement, so we might see him soon" I nodded and smiled, excited to see him "Speaking of which" Shauna pointed "There's your soulmate now" I jumped up at the sight of Xavier walking into the cafeteria with the boys.
