Xavier kept missing his shot at the vampire we were assigned to take care of who was stalking this one girl who was hiding in the corner while we were fighting in the middle of her living room.

"This is not practical!" I shouted, covering the girl with my body "X! Shoot correctly!" I yelled.

"What does it look like I'm doing?! I'm a swordsman, not a thrower!" He yelled back, holding his sword with one hand and throwing the daggers in another. His supply rested behind him, and he didn't have much left. We agreed to not use my royal spell in front of people, just to avoid questions, so it's why the process is harder to deal with.

"Everything is ruined..." the girl cried.

"It would have already been ruined if we didn't come and protect you when he snuck in and chased you all over the house" I said "Stop thinking about that and be quiet" she quickly nodded and covered her head. I sighed, feeling weird how I had to be strict just so people will listen.

The vampire kept laughing at Xavier for missing and kicking whatever he could at him. He was lucky to dodge, but couldn't move due to needing the daggers. I got annoyed really easily, hating how I had to be the one to protect the girl, but I'm not a hunter... even if I'm a specialist, I can't reveal too much of my abilities to the girl! There's cameras in the building as well, so there's that.

"Stop moving around!" I groaned loudly. The vampire can't listen to me unless he's lookin into my eyes. I stomped angrily and looked at the girl "Whatever you do, don't open your eyes! Got it?!" She jumped and nodded, closing her eyes "X! Switch!"

"Switch?" X questioned. He nodded and quickly blocked the girl in front of him while I went over to the tray of daggers and faced the vampire laughing at me.

"Oh? A little girl is going to fight me this time? Aren't you scared that I'll jump you? You know I was teasing the boy the whole time, right?" He smirked.

"Don't you think I know that?" I picked up a dagger "now stand still!" I threw the dagger at his neck before he could take the order. He choked and pressed his fingers on the corners of the dagger against his skin, shouting in pain. I snapped my fingers, feeling successful "finally..." I took a deep breath to calm myself and looked at X and the girl looking at me "It's done! Let's take this vampire with us"

"What? You're not going to kill it?" The girl asked.

"Is that what you want in your living room carpet?" I held my hips "stop asking stupid questions!" I pointed at her. She sniffled "I'm sorry" I calmed myself completely and looked at X frowning at me. We made the decision to let him do all the work so that I won't become suspicious. Telling people I'm a specialist is suspicious enough at my age. The most I can do is pretend I'm a protector and protect those around me, but when so, it's Xavier who should do his job, while I was never a student in the first place.

"Alright, let's take him with us now" he said. I nodded and took out a straining jacket I had asked to carry with me since I had this plan in my hands. He took the jacket and forced it on the vampire still down while I pulled up the girl "Do tell the police that the situation is done. They should be outside-" she suddenly hugged me "oh, are you alright?"

"Thank you for saving me... you're so brave" I sighed and pet her head, knowing if I didn't have my abilities, I wouldn't be.

She ran off to inform the police outside waiting for our jobs to be done. The police only handles the safety of humans, but they can't handle anything that involves vampires. That's where we came in.

"You two got it?" One of the cops asked us as we dragged the vampire out the building "It'll be best to do the slaying outside the city where no one can see"
