I shook my head around to feel the new haircut I just got! My head feels a lot lighter! In a good way! It feels great to not have to carry so much hair!
"Do you like it?" The vampire who brought me to her salon, Mina, smiled, carrying my empty plate that I ate three full meals off of "it makes me happy to see others feeling great about my work. It makes me continue what I do"
"Even if you are considered a weakling because you work for humans? You stay for your art?" She nodded proudly "You're quite amazing. And here I thought all vampires didn't have a heart"
"A lot of them don't have one. I know that for a fact. I had one even before I became your servant" I blinked confused "When a vampire takes the blood of a leader, part of their personality transfers to the new servant. Us vampires who don't have masters just walk this world alone and without a care, just seeking for something to satisfy us. Hairdressing is what gave me meaning to live"
"Really?" I didn't really know all about the lifestyle vampires without masters go through. There was no way of knowing from my tutors "That's sad to hear..." I gasped "but wait a minute!" She looked at me confused "That man that was bonded with Viola! He was a very nice man! Did I do something awful..? He didn't have a full dose from her though.."
"A complete dose is absolute, a small dose is nothing. This man probably didn't even gain the personality Viola had. I've met a follower of Viola, and those vampires are quite mean, but the stronger the leader, the worse they get" she frowned.
"Oh, okay..." I looked at the mirror to admire my elbow length hair "Who knew I had so much volume"
"It's quite beautiful, master" Mina smiled.
"Don't call me that either" I pouted.
"Sorry, but I have to call you by a title. I would feel incomplete without one" I sighed.
"Fine, just call me princess. It'll just act like a nickname rather than a title"
"You are as beautiful as the princesses in the story books. You are as beautiful as the queen!" I blushed and waved my hands, feeling embarrassed.
"S-Stop it!" She giggled and followed me to the exit "you'll be opening up shop soon, so you better get to work and bring in your best customers" she nodded happily.
"I feel much more motivated now that I have a master! Don't worry, Princess. I'm going to do great!" I waved to her "come back any time for a new style if you like!"
"Will do" careful with my steps, I opened the umbrella she gave me and gently walked through the soft rain pouring onto the city. I have to get back to the academy.
Out of embarrassment a few days ago when I had enough of being outside, I was too shy and nervous to ask anyone for directions on where the academy was after I ran away. Doing the stupid choice, I just looked for it myself and had gotten more lost then I already was. I starved and gotten weak, until Mina showed up.
"I have a follower now..." I told myself, heading in the direction she pointed me too "What will Xavier think when I tell him? I hope he's not mad at me" I frowned and looked up ahead, seeing the academy there! "It's so much closer than I expected... I got lucky that I was found and not taken by that stupid little supporter" I looked around just in case anyone heard and made my way to the gates of the academy. I felt someone approach me from behind.
"You caused a lot of trouble for us coming out here to find you" I turned around and saw Sina and Dixio standing behind me. I huffed when seeing Sina causally standing there like she almost didn't kill me.
"You were looking for me?" I asked, confused. Why were they assigned to look for me? It's not like they would do it voluntarily after what they pulled.
