I stretched my arms high in the sky when we finally made it to Coumarine City! "Finally! We're back to where we left off!"

"We avoided a large sea we couldn't cross without a boat or Pokémon" Xavier said. I gasped dramatically.

"What?! I wanna get on a boat!" He laughed at me.

"Don't worry, one of these days we can. For now, let's focus on our mission" I nodded disappointedly and looked around the beautiful city by the sea "Is your Eevee ever going to stop hiding behind you?" He asked. I looked down at Eevee hiding behind my ankles, cautious of the world around her.

"I don't really blame her for doing it" I picked her up "I always try my best to encourage her, but in the end, nothin really helps. It's like I can't find the right words to help. I still don't know what this world is like. I've experienced so much, but I can't figure a way to get through her. She's been through abuse from another vampire, and she was so close to dying if I didn't perform the exorcism" I hugged her body and stroked her fur "I can't imagine something that painful... the most pain I've experienced is slowly dying all the time. No matter how much blood you give me, I'm never satisfied. Everyone's bodies are different. Whatever holds us back is eating us alive. I wish I knew what I could tell Eevee to make her understand" I frowned "maybe I can't make her understand... because feelings are hard to understand. Emotions are hard to understand... I'm blessed enough to have Pokémon, yet I can't help my own"

"Ee..." Eevee frowned and pressed her paw on my cheek. I smiled and poked my nose on hers.

"I might not be the best trainer, but I'm still working on it. I want to be good enough to where you can finally find your light and explore the world with me" Xavier pet my head and smiled.

"We all have to grow in our own way. It takes time. Don't beat yourself up" I nodded. He took out a small case of daggers he had inside "Do you really think they will work?"

"It's worth a try! They're the same kind of daggers that Sina has. Instead of poison, my blood will be injected" I opened my arms after Eevee jumped off "A tiny bit will remove them from anything bad they're doing. When they calm down, I can offer my blood in exchange for bond"

"Vampires are so weird with this bonding thing"

"You think I don't know that?" I can't believe I thought of such a great idea "The more followers, the better the behavior. It may go against their will, but remember that vampires aren't like humans. Bonding is a privilege. Blood is a necessity. Relationships last forever. Love is like music to our ears" I cupped the back of ears "My mom was human before she was turned into a vampire... she became immortal. She always fell in love with the idea of finding the love of your life and cherishing them. Even as she walked through the land alone, she loved everyone and helped as many as she could. Yet she was lonely. She fell in love with my dad at love at first sight. She looked at him like he was the most beautiful person in the world, while my dad looked at her in disgust" I walked away.

"Wait, What?" Xavier quickly followed me looking around "How do you know all this if the last time you saw your parents was back when you were 2? Did they tell you this story? I know you have a really good memory but-"

"It's not like that at all. I carry my mom's blood... her pureblood runs through my veins. She may have used her blood to make other vampires, but once it turned those people into Duplicates, the blood changed to a lower value. It's close, but not the same. I'm not related to nobody except my mom. Her blood provides her memories. It's the same for the parent to their children in other vampires"

"Is that why you said all those things to the man in the parfum palace?" I nodded "She was forced to make vampires?"

"Yes..."
