Pokémon: Vampire Princess*

Chapter 28: Beach*

I sat under an umbrella under the shade and watched Xavier training with his new Pokémon on the beach while I'm here in a bathing suit, daydreaming about the kind of life I was expecting before I explored this world. The sun was too strong for my liking, and as much as I wanted to go swimming, I wasn't even that good at holding my breath.

Xavier was out in the open without a shirt, only in swim shorts, practicing his swings with a wood stick since I had his blade beside me. He was also jogging, doing flips, kicking the air, punching it, push ups, sit ups, everything that looks very exhausting but was requisite for a working body that has to hunt vampires.

"I'll probably pass out from all that work" I said, looking at Ralts sleeping on Absol's fur. I smiled and pet Absol's head "but I'll work hard, for you and everyone I want to protect" I looked at the ocean and smiled at its beauty. I never seen the ocean before... it's like a dream come true.

"I wish I knew how to swim... If I had a water type Pokémon that can show me around, that would be great" I looked at Xavier's Frogadier "they all are too busy to help me go out for a swim" I shaded my eyes to look at the bright sky "The sun is quite uncomfortable today. It would help if I wasn't so pale from being in my room in the dark my whole life" I also can't leave Xavier's sword while I walk around on my own.

"I noticed that the vampire weapons I seen in the academy are really different from this one" I took it out it's sheath to stare at the Multichrome blade "it's really pretty" I was about to lift it before Xavier came out of nowhere and spoke out.

"It's also really sharp" I put down the sword and looked at him covered in sweat. My eyes instantly looked at his abs and I quickly turned away, blushing like a weirdo... this made him chuckle and sit beside me "Don't go around carrying my sword like that. It's really dangerous for a small girl such as yourself, especially for a vampire"

"Sorry" I looked at him putting it back in the sheath "Is there a cool story behind the sword?" He looked confused "I mean... I've seen a lot of the student weapons and none of them looked as magical as yours!"

"I would hope so. They have training weapons. This is the real deal" he took it out again and let it shine in the sun "What makes this one really special is that it was passed down to me after my dad passed away"

"He was going to use that sword to hunt leaders, right?"

"Right! Now that it's passed down to me, this one of a kind sword made by the King of kalos himself will help me defeat the other leaders!" I frowned "I've gotten stronger too! I wish I can meet that one leader with the skates you pointed out so I can challenge her"

"You never change, no matter what I tell you" I sighed "This sword was made by the king?"

"Yeah! The king didn't like special treatment all that much and preferred to make things on his own. He learned how to carve wood, wrought iron and steel, and could make some really cool jewelry as well!" Something came up in my head. I quickly took out the box my mom had given me on my birthday "What's that?"

"I never got the chance to open this and totally forgot I had it..." I took out dads journal and the jewelry box "I've been so distracted lately and took this long to want to open this. My mom got me this for my birthday. She promised me that she'll take me out to show me the world once the Elite four releases me. I left before I got the chance to see her, and this was a jewelry box that came with it. When you mention jewelry, I remembered" I dug for the key I hid in my boots and twisted it in the lock to open it. I gulped and kept it close, not expecting what would be inside.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I don't know what to expect in this box... I'm a bit nervous" I took a deep breath and opened it, seeing a circled mirror placed there with a note on top. I shakily picked it up and read it.
