67: Happy Birthday Pt. 1

“Keithy~”

“Mmm…”

“It's time to wake up, beautiful~”

“Mmwhy?”

“It's somebody's special day today~”

“Good for them.”

Lance snickered before kissing his adorable boyfriend until he completely woke up.

“Lance?” Keith rasped and rubbed his eyes tiredly.

“Happy birthday!” Lance cheered and squeezed him tightly.

“Whoa, oh, okay, thank you,” Keith startled and hugged him back.

“Now come on. It's time to get ready for school.”

[7:30 AM]

“Hunk is gonna flip when he sees us,” Lance chuckled as he opened the door to the classroom.

“KEITH! LANCE! Oh my gosh! I was so worried! I'm so happy you guys made it back safely! And…” Hunk trailed off, squeezing both boys tightly and refusing to let go of them.

“Told you,” Lance smirked, “Hey, buddy. I missed you.”

“I missed you too.”

“Hey, guys,” Allura smiled at them and joined in the hug.

“Hey, pretty girl,” Lance winked and the two of them giggled while Keith nudged him.

“Happy birthday, Keith,” Allura cheered, “I made you something, but you have to wait until lunch.”

“Same here, birthday boy,” Hunk agreed.

“Thanks, guys,” Keith smiled.

“Happy birthday to you~”

“Happy birthday to you~”

“Happy birthday dear Keith~”

“Happy birthday to you!~”

“Aww, guys, you didn't have to,” Keith flushed at all the attention.

Allura and Hunk had both made Keith a sweet dessert. Allura, with Lotor's help, made red velvet cupcakes and Hunk made red velvet donuts for him.

“We wanted to,” Hunk smiled at him.

“Also, this is for you,” Pidge handed him a red envelope with his name on it.

“F-for me?” Keith gasped.

Pidge nodded. Keith opened the envelope and read the card that all of his friends signed.

“Oh my gosh, we made him cry,” Hunk whispered to Lance.

“I'm about to make him cry more,” Lance replied. “Hey, Keith...so, I kinda forgot it was your birthday, so it's nothing big, but I still hope you like it.”

Lance handed him a small red box with a purple ribbon. Keith smiled at his boyfriend as he accepted the box.

“You really didn't-”

“Just open it, Mullet,” Lance pat his shoulder.

Keith rolled his eyes and opened the box to see a single slip of paper. He looked at it confused before he took it out and opened it. He gasped, covering his mouth, tears flowing from his eyes.
