58: Results Are In...

It had been six hours and everyone, beside Shiro, was watching TV. Acxa sighed for the seventh time in five minutes.

“Oh my gosh, will you please shut up?” Keith growled annoyed.

“Oh, I’m sorry, am I bothering you?” Acxa asked sarcasm dripping through her tone. “Well, I’m sorry I’m the only one who seems concerned about her mom being in danger!”

“You’re not the only one concerned, Acxa,” Keith snarled, “I am too. But I know she’ll be okay on her own. She’s been doing this for a while now. She can handle it.”

“How do you know so much about her?” Acxa ranted. “You don’t even know her!”

Keith gasped, hurt that she’d said that. But it was true, he didn’t know her. That didn’t mean that he doubted his mother’s abilities. She was an assassin, she was trained to know how to handle situations like being captured.

“You’re right, I don’t know her,” Keith said softly as he stood up to leave the room. He turned to her as he touched the knob, “but at least I believe that she can handle herself.”

“Wait, where are you going?” Lance asked jogging toward him.

“There’s a pool, right?” At Lance’s nod, he continued, “I’m gonna go find it.”

“I’m coming too!” Lance called out and followed Keith out the door.

[2:10p] antony: the results are in…

[2:10p] antony: i’m scared to open them…

[2:10p] antony: …

[2:11p] antony: hello?

[2:13p] kogayne: uh...hey

[2:15p] antony: OMG! Where were you???

[2:15p] kogayne: oh, sorry, i was in the bathroom and left my phone in my room

[2:15p] antony: oh...ok

[2:15p] antony: sorry, i’m jsut REALLY freaking out here

[2:16p] antony: ok, i'm gonna open them, brb

[2:23p] kogayne: …

[2:25p] kogayne: everything alright?

[2:26p] kogayne: you kinda disappeared…

[2:27p] kogayne: what are the results???

[2:30p] antony: i’m pregnant

“WHAT!?!?!?!” Acxa screeched, which in turn woke Shiro up with a jolt of fear.

“What!? What happened?!” Shiro looked around in alarm.

“Keith got someone pregnant!” Acxa confessed.

“Wait wait wait, what? That’s literally impossible! He’s gay! He only...oh no,” Shiro realized.

Shiro flung off the covers from his body and jumped to his feet. He put on his slip-on sneakers and started running out the door.

Acxa groaned, grabbed the key card the older forgot to grab in his haste, and followed the adult.

“Man, I forgot my phone,” Keith groaned in realization.

“It’s alright, so did I,” Lance shrugged, “I’m sure they’ll be safe in the room.”
