When Lance walked through the door, he pretty much flopped onto the couch already passed out.

"Tough car ride?" Veronica teased.

"Shut up," Lance groaned and lay his head on her lap.

"Where's Keith?" she asked after noticing he hadn't walked in after him.

"He's gonna stay at Shiro's apartment with Krolia," Lance told her. "Shiro gave him the keys and someone has to watch his cat."

"Wait...how long has his cat been alone?" Veronica questioned.

"...dunno, but Shiro said he's a tough kitty."

Veronica nodded, then smirked, "what happened to the promise of that hug?"

"I'll do it tomorrow, promise," Lance sighed and quickly went to sleep.

Veronica smiled sympathetically and ran her fingers through his hair. The boy must have had a rough weekend. She hoped everything would turn out okay.

Veronica walked into the house to see Lance, Sylvio, and Nadia playing Super Mario Party.

"Hey, guys," Veronica greeted.

"Auntie 'Ronica!" the two children called and ran to give her a hug.

"What are you doing home so early?"

"Teacher's in service," Lance replied with a small smile. He paused the game and promised to the kids that he'd be back shortly.

Veronica followed him to his room. Once there and the door was closed, Lance embraced his sister tightly.

"I'm so proud of you for being so brave," Lance said truthfully.

Veronica smiled and hugged him back. "Thanks, lil bro, but I couldn't have done it without you."

"Anything for you, sis," Lance smiled a little, hesitantly pulling away from the hug.

"Lance?" she said confused of the new, strange behavior.

"Veronica, I...you have to promise not to tell anyone," Lance pled.

"Your secret's safe with me."

"...I'm going to be a father..." Lance confessed.

Veronica raised an eyebrow. "Uh...cuz Keith-"

"No, I got someone pregnant...back in California," Lance explained. "I got drunk and apparently did something...but now the girl is pregnant. I want to help and be supportive, y'know? I wanna be there for them...but she won't let me. She hates me...and I may never get to see my firstborn..."

"Whoa...hold on, under age drinking? Pregnancy? Wha-I don't even know my lil bro anymore..." Veronica gasped.

"I...was in a bad place then...papá hated me for being bi, Keith broke my heart and dated Anton, there was just...so much in my brain, I just wanted to get rid of all the bad thoughts for one night. That's not an excuse, but...I just had to tell someone."

"...Lance, accidents happen, but owning up to them shows strength," Veronica placed her hands on his shoulders. "You tell mom and dad when you're ready, but thank you for telling me and trusting me."

"You know you're my favorite," Lance smiled and hugged her.

Very giggled, "You're my favorite too."

"Listen up, everyone," Rosa called out. The household looked at her. "This Thanksgiving, we're going to have a few special guests. Our parents will be coming over."

At the news, both Lance and Veronica paled.

"Abuelita and abuelito are coming!?" Rachel cheered. "Wow, we haven't seen them in ages."

"Right, which is why they're coming down," Joseph looked at Lance, who was uncharacteristically quiet. "What's the matter, Lance? You're usually really excited to have your grandparents come over."

"That was before I...came out as bisexual," Lance muttered. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I love abuela and abuelo, but...I don't know if they'd accept me."

In that moment, even if he didn't know it, Lance spoke for both himself and Veronica.

"Lance..."

"Lance has a point, I mean, they do tend to make homophobic jokes. I don't know if they know they're doing it, but they are," Veronica placed a hand on his shoulder.

"We'll talk to them," Rosa promised them. "We won't tell them, if you're not ready, but we'll tell them to watch what they say."

"Thank you," Lance smiled a bit.

"You can bring guests if you so wish to," Joseph continued. "Just let us know ahead of time."

"Lance, you should invite Keith over," Rosa suggested. "Since he lives at his brother's apartment now."

"I'll ask him," Lance nodded.

"I can ask my friends if they're doing anything," Veronica added.

"We should have a good turn out this year, then," Rosa smiled. "Also, who's turn is it to help me this year?"

"I believe it's Veronica's turn," Lance spoke up.

"No, it's Lance's turn," she argued.

"No way, I helped for the past three years," Lance told her.

"Cuz you're the best chef of the siblings, bro," Marco replied.

"...really?"

"Yeah, you have a special gift there," Luis nodded.

"Well, thank you...but it's still Veronica's turn," Lance crossed his arms.

"Fine, fine," she rolled her eyes. "But don't expect it to be the best dinner on the planet."
