[7:33a] princess: i have to stay at the hospital

[7:34a] princess: Lotor got hurt yesterday and he needs me to keep him company

[7:35a] youngboi: oh no, what happened?

[7:36a] hunkalicious: is everything ok?

[7:36a] hunkalicious: and don’t pull a Lance and give us a dramatic pause!

[7:36a] lovedoctor: hey!

[7:37a] princess: i don’t know yet…

[7:37a] princess: but the doctors are saying he’s hanging on

[7:38a] princess: i really hope he pulls through

[7:38a] princess: i didn’t even get to apologize…

[7:39a] lovedoctor: ...are you alright, Allura?

Allura sat in the chair next to Lotor's bed, clutching his hand tightly. Tears fell down her face and she tried to stifle her sobs.

“Please, Lotor, you have to get up,” she pled. “Please. I can't lose you…”

“Allura…” a knock at the door, and in came Romelle with a concerned look on her face.

The girl in question waved before sniffling and wiping her tears. Romelle walked over and hugged her.

“It's going to be alright,” Romelle comforted.

“Romelle...y-you didn't see the fear in his face...his father did this...I watched him...I just stood there...I-I could've...should've stopped him sooner, but...I couldn't move...why would someone treat their son like that?”

“Some people are too cruel for the world,” Romelle sighed and looked over at Lotor. “And maybe it's not who you expect sometimes.”

“This is all my fault…if I hadn't have gone to dinner...maybe he wouldn't have gone this far. Lotor was trying to impress me and…”

“This...is not...your fault… ‘Lura,” a weak voice rasped and Allura looked over to Lotor.

“You're awake,” Allura cried in relief. “And I'm sor-”

“You have...nothing to be...sorry ‘bout,” he squeezed her hand weakly.

“Lotor...I'm sorry for assuming-”

“Romelle...I am so sorry for what I did to you and your family,” Lotor confessed. “Yes, my father put me up to it, but...I didn't have to do what he said-”

“I understand why you did...your father would have killed you instead…”

“I was afraid of disobeying his orders...I killed so many innocent people,” Lotor sniffled, tears brimming his eyes. “And he made me watch and pretend that I enjoyed it.”

“Hey, hey, hey, calm down, it's okay,” Allura brushed his hair out of his face. “Don’t overexert yourself. Your pathetic excuse of a father fractured your ribs. Stop crying, you’ll hurt yourself even more.”

Allura wiped her thumb over his tears and looked into his shining eyes.

“You...y-you forgive me?” Lotor whimpered quietly in shock.

“Yes, I forgive you,” Allura smiled down at him.

“I don’t know what I did to deserve you...honestly, I don’t deserve you at all,” Lotor pouted and avoided her gaze.

“Lotor,” Allura gently moved his chin so he could look at her, “you deserve the world.”

Lotor gazed back at her lovingly. He smiled, a light flush on his cheeks.

“Thank you, Allura...for everything,” Lotor caressed Allura’s cheek.

Allura leaned down to connect their lips in a soft, meaningful kiss. Romelle smiled quietly in the background, seeing how happy her cousin was.

“I love you,” Lotor said once they released.

Allura smiled and cupped his cheeks softly. “I-”

“Mr. Lotor, I have...oh, I’m sorry, am I interrupting something?” the doctor walked in unexpectedly.

Lotor blushed and Allura sat back in her seat. “Not at all, doctor,” Allura spoke up.

Romelle giggled at the two blushing lovebirds.
