“Everybody knows the plan, right?” Shiro asked the otherwise silent van.

Everyone nodded, not wanting to break the silence.

“I know you guys are scared or nervous, but I know we can do this, I believe in all of you and if we stick to the plan, everything will go perfectly fine.”

[12:45 PM]

“This plan sucked,” Shiro groaned, trying to break free of the chains that were attached to the wall, keeping him from escaping.

You’re the one who came up with it!” Acxa growled annoyed.

“What!? You had a part in this too!”

“What?! No I didn’t!”

You said there wouldn’t be anyone in the vents!”

“How was I supposed to know? Last time I went on a rescue mission, no one was in the vents!”

“This is a-”

“Oh, would you two please shut up!” Keith yelled.

The arguing pair stopped and looked over at Keith, seeing tears falling from his eyes.

“Keith-”

“This is all my fault...Acxa, you were right. I shouldn’t have gone looking for my mother and now L-Lance is out there a-all alone and he’s p-probably gonna d-die like we are. I’m n-never gonna see my Lance again...and I’m never gonna meet my baby.”

“Keith…”

“I wouldn’t worry too much about that,” Shiro replied.

Keith and Acxa glared at Shiro with angry frowns.

“Oh ye of little faith,” a voice called as the door opened and in came-

“Lance!” Keith cheered, his sad tears turning in happy tears that fell freely down his cheeks. “How did you-”

“I told you guys to wing it,” Lance winked and revealed a key.

The prisoners cheered as their savior freed them from their chains.

“Now, come on. I know where-mmph!” Lance was interrupted by Keith kissing him as if he’d never see him ever again. Lance melted a little before pushing him off. “Babe, I love you too, but we gotta get to your mom.”

Keith pouted, but understood the importance of the situation. The four of them started running out, three of them following Lance through the maze of rooms.

“Just one more turn and, there, he said it was this room,” Lance told them.

“Hello? Who’s there?” a voice of a woman called suspiciously.

“Please don’t hurt us,” pled a voice of a young lady.

“It’s okay,” Shiro reassured, “we’re here to help.”

Lance unlocked the door to reveal two females. One was a young lady with long, dirty blond hair tied up in two pigtails and a braid adorning the top of her head. The other was a woman with her hair dyed mostly dark blue with mauve under the majority of blue that was tied in a low ponytail, her bangs were uneven, but swept more on the left side of her face.

“Acxa?” the woman called.

“Mom! You’re okay!” Acxa cried and ran to hug her.

“Shiro?” the lady asked confused.

“Romelle? What are you doing here?” Shiro asked concerned.

“Well-”

“Storytime later,” Lance interrupted hurriedly, “I’m gonna unlock your chains.” He walked over to them and started unlocking the chains.

Keith just stood there frozen. He couldn’t believe it. His mother was right in front of him. She was right there. He couldn’t move, frozen in place. He could barely breathe. He felt liquid falling from his eyes. Shire noticed and smiled sympathetically.

“Keith, come on, bud,” Shiro motioned for him to come over.

At the name, Keith’s mom looked at the boy. She gasped, looking at her son for the first time in almost eighteen years. Lance finally unchained her and she slowly walked up to her son.

“Hello, Keith,” he voice hitched. “My name is Krolia...I’m your mom.”

Keith wanted to say something, tried to say something, but his throat was so tight, all that came out were chokes. He settled for hugging her instead, soaking her shirt with tears. She smiled softly and hugged him back.

“I missed you so much,” she commented.

“I missed you too...it’s nice to finally meet you,” Keith sniffled.

Lance smiled at the scene, but it faded when he heard distant voices shouting directions.

“Uh...I hate to break up such a lovely reunion, but we kinda need to get outta here,” Lance told them.

“Come on,” Shiro ordered, “Lance, lead the way.”

Lance nodded and led the way out of the building. They made it to the entrance; they were in the homestretch now. Everyone ran faster, trying to get out without being caught.

“Almost there…” Lance urged.

“Hey! Stop!” yelled someone, probably someone against them.

“Go! Go! Go!” Shiro shouted.

Everyone ran out of the open doors, but they stopped when they heard Shiro scream in pain.

“Shiro!” Keith cried out and looked to see that a knife had been thrown, chopping off Shiro’s entire right arm.

“Oh my God!” Lance screamed, pulling on his hair.

“Is he going to die?” Acxa asked.

“Depends on the blade,” Krolia replied as she threw one of her various blades at the assaulter, knocking him out instantly, “we have to help him.”

Keith, Krolia, Lance, and Acxa ran back to collect Shiro, who’d passed out from the pain. They were careful, but quick with their actions. Eventually, they made it to the van. Keith stayed in the back with Shiro, Lance stayed in the back for Keith and Shiro, Krolia got in the driver’s seat with Acxa in the passenger seat, and Romelle sat in the middle. Lance threw the keys to Krolia, who caught them with ease, and she booked it to the closest hospital.

Well, exciting? Maybe? Idk, I got kinda lazy and didn't feel like writing out all the steps nor did I know how, lol. Seriously, if I kept thinking of how to write this out, you would have never gotten updates. Anyway, I started watching Riverdale and it's actually really good. Granted I'm only on the third episode, but still. Also, you guys should check out Carmen Sandiego on Netflix. It's really good! I watched it all in like 3 days. Alright, I'll see you guys on Thursday! Have a great day!
