lauren,

today is homecoming night.

"oh my goodness! lauren, you look absolutely beautiful!" my mom said walking over and hugging me.

"thank you, mom" i smiled.

she helped me get ready all day.

i'm just glad we could spend some time together.

"you're growing up" she said and started to cry.

"oh please, don't cry" i smiled.

"i'm just so proud of you" she said.

just as she did the doorbell rang.

that's all someone wants to hear from their mom.

is that their proud.

"i'll get it" i said.

i walked to the door and opened it.

shawn stood there looking really handsome in his suit.

he looked at me and couldn't stop.

"lauren" he smiled at me.

i smiled back.

"you.. you look beautiful" he smiled.

i smiled at him. "thank you"

"you look very good, shawn" i smiled and put my hand on his chest.

he just smiled at me, his smile was the absolute cutest smile in the world. "thank you, babe"

babe

i let him inside so my mom could take some pictures of us.

"you guys should go so you're not late" my mom said and that's what we did.

shawn took my hand and led me out to his car.

"hey bro" cameron walked over to us and did his thing with shawn.

i hugged hailey.

"you look so pretty!" she smiled.

"thanks, you do too" i smiled.

"thank you"

a song came on.

it was take me home by jess glynne

"may i have this dance?" shawn asked holding his hand out.

"you may" i smiled and took his hand.

he led me out to the dance floor.

his hands went around my waist and i put mine around his neck.

we smiled for a second.

he spun me around making me smile more.

i came back to him and looked into his eyes.

his beautiful eyes.

i felt like crying because tonight was so great.

i was sitting outside drinking something.

i don't know exactly what it is.

i was waiting for shawn to come out.

then there he came.

he walked out and sat next to me.

i looked up at him with glossy eyes.

"why are you crying?" he asked me.

"because you're amazing." i said.

"the nights over, and it was an amazing night because you made it to be." i said.

he grabbed my hand. "i'd do anything for you"

"i know." i smiled and leaned my head on his shoulder.

i was currently sitting on my bed looking through my photos from tonight deciding if i wanted to post some on instagram or something.

"hey" my mom walked in knocking.

"hi" i said and she walked over and sat on the bed next to me.

"have you heard anything else about the school?" she asked me.

"i won't know much until next weekend when i go up there" i said.

"you're gonna be great, lauren" she smiled.

"i-i know something" i said.

"what?"

"the day i leave is on my graduation day. sad the week after we start learning." i told her.

"wow that's- that's fast. i'll miss you" she said.

"me too. i'tll be tough" i said.

"it will all be worth it though." she smiled.

"i haven't told shawn" i said.

"it's still awhile away. you don't have to think about this right now" she said.

"i know. you're right. i still have time to figure this out" i said.

"goodnight" she smiled.

"night" i said and she walked out leaving me to my own thoughts.

i dialed shawn's number.

"hey" he said.

"hi" i smiled.

"you wanna talk about something?"

"i just want to hear your voice and talk to you" i said.

"i can do that. what are you doing?"

"laying in bed" i said. "what are you doing?" i asked.

"thinking about you." he said.

which made my heart melt.

"shawn, i-i want to tell you something but i don't want to over the phone."

"me too actually. will you go out with me tomorrow night?" he asked.

"yes"
