Nasa agency ako ngayon, may panibagong kontrata kasi akong pipirmahan. Yung sa clothing line ni Ceana. Wala ako sa mood umattend kaso sabi ni Michen kailangan daw, don’t make excuses kahit na kaibigan ko ang kukuha sakin.
“What’s with you today? You don’t look okay” sabi sakin ng anak ni Mrs. Ignacio. Si Marco.
“I’m okay Marco, it’s just that I can’t help thinking about my son” I sighed.
“It’ll all be okay” bahagya siyang ngumiti. Kung gaano kabait ang namayapa niyang ina ay ganun din siya. “She’ll be here in a minute, let’s wait for her. After the contract signing you may go back to the hospital” nasa board room kasi kami ngayon.
“Thanks Marco” I took another sip of coffee, that’s when Ceana entered the room.
“Yah! What’s with the ambiance? Parang semana santa” poker faced niyang sabi. She’s jolly, she changed when Stanley fell inlove with her. Hindi na siya yung taong sobrang cold.
“Let’s just get to business Shan, and I’ll tell you what’s happening” plain kong sabi. tumango naman siya at umupo sa tabi ko.
“So as I’ve said, I want you to be the model of my designs. Next month ang launching nun, winter collection since magwiwinter na sa Korea” paglalahad niya, tumango lang ako. “Read the contract first before signing” segunda niya pagkaabot sakin ng isang folder na may mga papel na sa tingin ko ay limang pages. Ang dami namang do’s and don’ts. Tsk!
I immediately took out my ballpen out from my bag and signed the papers. Pagkaraan ay tinawagan ko yung driver para sunduin ako. “Shan, I don’t have time to read all these. Just e-mail me a copy of this and after that I’m going to read it” sakto namang sumagot yung driver.
“Manong, tapos na ho yung meeting ko. Pakihintay na lang po ako sa main entrance” Nag-end call nako. “Ceana, I’m really sorry. And to you too Marco” tumango naman si Marco sakin, si Ceana halatang naguguluhan.
“What’s really happening?! Can’t you tell me?” tanong ni Ceana.
“Okay! Heedo got hospitalized yesterday. I need to be there bago ilabas yung results. I want to know what’s happening with my son” I exclaimed.
“I’m sorry. Wag ka na magpasundo. I’m coming with you” tumango lang ako sa kanya.
“Thank you Ceana” tumawag na lang ulit ako sa driver ko para sabihing umuwi na muna siya at si Ceana na ang maghahatid sakin. Si Michen ang nasa hospital ngayon. He doesn’t want to leave our son’s side.
