4 months & no sign of improvement. I was getting more tired every second, some days never getting out of bed. Mum had come down to help Oscar with Isla & they both wanted me to go to the hospital. I didn't want to but I knew I didn't have a choice over my own life anymore. "I want to go back." I said to Oscar. He wanted to drop out of college but I didn't. "I think we all do Spence." He said, stroking my hair. "Yeah, at least you have more time." I sighed & I felt Oscar stiffen. "Spence, you're young, your body will win this fight." I looked up at him with great concern. "Don't give yourself fake hope, it's just a matter of time now." Oscar pulled me closer to him, resting his face on the top of my head. "No, don't say that. You're staying, you- you need to." The bedroom door then opened & mum was standing just outside the room. "Darling we should go now." Her voice was soft & had the tone of sadness. "I'll bring Isla after school ends." Oscar said, letting go of me. "No please don't, she doesn't need to see me like that." "Spence." He sighed. "Look after her."
