Chapter Thirty

"They were supposed to get married..."

Nanatili akong tahimik habang nakikinig sa kwento ni Enzo.

"We've known each other since college. At that time, I was already training to become an artist, pati si Julienne. Noah was just a good fourth year college student."

They must have kept that story in the past dahil walang ibang nakakaalam ng tungkol dito.

"Everything was already prepared for their marriage after Noah graduated until Julienne got a call from a famous agency abroad. Gusto siyang kunin as an idol trainee."

Akala ko vlogger lang talaga si Julienne?

"She wanted to be an idol abroad so bad. It was her dream, pero dahil akala niya hindi na matutupad iyon, she gave it up and agreed to marry Noah and just stay here in Philippines, work as a Filipino artist. Pero hindi niya inaakalang tatawagan pa pala siya ng entertainment agency two days before their marriage."

Natulala ako sa sinabi niya. I can imagine how Noah must have looked back then. Messed up and broken.

"Walang ibang maisip na paraan si Julienne para makipaghiwalay kay Noah. If she tells the truth, siguradong hihintayin siya ni Noah. But she knows the rules of the showbiz industry abroad, may relationship ban sila doon. And if the agency finds out about Noah, it will ruin her career."

Did someone even comfort Noah during those days? Paano siya naka survive?

"I-It must have been so hard for Noah..." I murmured.

"So she asked for my help. Nagkunwari kaming may ginagawa kami sa dressing room, set Noah up para mapunta siya sa kwartong iyon. We pretended to make out inside that room and acted surprised nang pumasok si Noah doon. That happened the day before their supposed to be wedding."

Kaya pala galit na galit si Noah kay Enzo. Kaya pala sinabi niyang mang-aagaw si Enzo.

"Until everything went according to Julienne's plan. She went abroad and trained there. Hindi ko rin alam kung anong pumasok sa utak ni Noah at tinanggap ang offer ng GenZ Entertainment sa kanya na maging myembro ng Next Cycle."

"Bakit hindi pinagpatuloy ni Julienne ang pagiging idol?" I asked.

"'Yung mga kasama niyang nag training, natanggap para magdebut. She was denied after a year dahil may nahanap silang mas talented kaysa kay Julienne."

Kawawa rin naman pala si Julienne. She gave up her love for the career that also rejected her.

The all star banquet ended up happily for some and was a disaster for a few.

Enzo confessed his feelings. Noah and Julienne were reminiscing their love story. Ria got home drunk. At sa aming lahat, si Suzie lang ata ang nakauwi nang maayos at walang drama na naranasan during the banquet.

If any case, Suzie was the only one who had a great night since Mr. Gomez, her rumored sugardaddy, came to the banquet and cleared Suzie's name in front of the people who judged her.

I felt awkward around Noah as soon as the banquet ended. Magkasama kaming naglakad patungo sa kotseng sasakyan namin pauwi and I've never felt that awkward around him before.

The whole ride back to Manila was silent as hell. Hindi ko alam kung nakatulog si Noah, but I sure am very awake during the trip.

The silence was evident kahit nakauwi na kami sa condo namin. He went straight for his bedroom and I was left in awe at the living area.
