Chapter Forty-One

I arrived at the coffee shop five minutes earlier.

Hindi ako mapakali habang naghihintay. I can't even calm my feet, it keeps on hopping while I'm sitting.

"Miss Julia Shaen Ramirez?"

Agad akong napatayo nang dumating ang isang matangkad na babaeng may maikling buhok.

She offered me her hand so I accepted it for a handshake.

"Please sit down."

Tumango siya at umupo sa upuang nasa harapan ko. Lumapit rin sa amin ang waiter kaya nag order siya ng kape para sa aming dalawa.

"I'm Dana Castro, assistant of CEO Zeus and I am representing Zeus Films. Thank you again for meeting me here."

"Thank you rin po."

I examined her attire from head to toe. She looks more like an executive manager than an assistant.

"Your story two years ago captured many young hearts. Bakit hindi iyon napublish into an actual book? I heard publishing companies offered to publish your story."

Napangiti ako nang naalala ang huling chapter ng kwentong sinulat ko. I started writing it when I started fangirling over Noah, I stopped when I saw him and Julienne kiss in that dressing room.

I became depressed and isolated kaya tinapos ko agad ang kwentong iyon. It was a story based on the experiences I had with Noah, at dahil natapos na rin ang kwento namin sa totoong buhay, tinapos ko na rin ang kwentong sinusulat ko.

I didn't want it to be published dahil ayaw kong makita niya iyon sa mga mall. He wouldn't have the time to scroll on the internet kaya mas minabuti kong manatili nalang iyon sa internet. I didn't know it would actually be loved by many readers.

"H-Hindi ko po talaga sana hilig ang pagsusulat. I'm afraid the readers would expect more from me if the story would be published into a book kaya hindi nalang ako pumayag."

Medyo nalungkot siya but she only nodded her head.

"But you're okay with producing a film based on your story?"

Tumango ako at ngumiti sa kanya.

Syempre, malaking income kaya yan! It would help me achieve my goal big time.

"Well, that's great. Alam mo ba, sobrang unique ng kwento na sinulat mo. I read the first chapters pero hindi ko pa natatapos, but I know how the readers got hooked in it."

I blushed because of her compliments. Sino talagang mag-aakalang magiging movie ang kwentong sinulat ko lang out of fangirling?

"So should we proceed to the contract signing?"

Inabot niya sa akin ang ballpen at kontrata. Dahan dahan kong binasa ang bawat clause ng kontrata.

"Your name will be included in the credits, you can also be a part of the production team kung gusto mong present ka mismo sa production ng film. You can even choose the actors who will be portraying the characters, if you want."

Umiling ako at pumirma sa kontrata.

"Kayo na po ang bahala sa mga portrayers, I'm not a good judge of characters. Pero pupunta po ako para i-direct paminsan minsan ang mga scenes in case hindi makuha ng director ang gusto ko iportray sa ibang scenes."

Pareho kaming tumayo and she offered me her hand again.

"Sige. Again, thank you for entrusting your story with us, Miss Ramirez."
