"I love you. I love you..." he whispered as life was slowly losing its grip on him.

Wala nang malay ang pinakamamahal niya. They were now both covered in blood while the heavy evening rain continued to fall.

He tried to stay with her until someone comes to rescue them. Mahigpit niyang hinawakan ang kamay ng mahal niya habang sinusubukang maging matatag para sa kanilang dalawa.

"Please don't die..." he whispered to her.

"We still have a future to spend together," tears started to fall from his eyes as he, too, slowly closed his eyes.

Pareho silang dinala sa ospital after hours of waiting for rescue. Their families learned about what happened and rushed to the hospital immediately.

Everyone tried to revive them both hanggang sa naging stable ang kalagayan ng isa sa kanila.

"She needs blood. Marami nang nawalang dugo sa kanya."

The nurses immediately rushed to the other room. The other patient was still in a very critical condition.

"His brain is injured, doc."

Everyone was already panicking, crying and trying their best to save both.

Nang tuluyan nang naging stable ang kondisyon ng isa ay lumabas ang doctor para ianunsyo iyon.

"Stable na po ang kalagayan ni Mrs. Vallejo. But she is now in a comatose state because of the impact on her head."

Her family almost rejoiced. Halos himatayin na sa tuwa ang mama niya na niyakap naman ng mga malapit na kaibigan niya.

"Jin? How's my son? Please, kamusta ang anak ko?"

"We will try our best to save him, maam. Sa ngayon, nasa kritikal na kondisyon pa po siya. Too much blood was lost from Mrs. Vallejo but Mr. Vallejo's brain was injured. Mas malaki ang naging damage sa anak niyo po."

Tuluyan nang hinimatay ang nanay ni Jin. Her husband immediately caught her habang napasigaw naman sa gulat ang mga kasama nila.

Hours passed and the family remained outside the operating room. At kahit na maayos na ang kalagayan ng anak nila, nanatili pa rin ang pamilya ni Sheena sa labas ng operating room.

They waited for what seemed to be centuries of anxious waiting. Nagising na ang nanay ni Jin but she only cried when she woke up.

Ang pagbukas ng pintuan ng operating room ang bumuhay ulit sa kanila. The doctor removed her face mask and faced them sadly.

May kakaibang naramdaman ang pamilya pero hindi nila pinaniwalaan iyon. It was just an instinct.

"I-I'm sorry. We did everything."

Napaluhod ang mama ni Jin sa sobrang panghihina. Sheena's family also comforted them.

"No, my son! No!" his mom cried.

"I'm really sorry maam but the damage was too much."
