Before we begin, I would like to state a few things:
This story will have a new chapter every other Saturday (unless otherwise specified)
Each chapter will be 3,000-5,000 words (which is the average word count for a novel) excluding prologues and the epilogue. Despite this, some chapters will exceed the limit.
There are five 'quarters' in total. Each will be 10 to 15 chapters.
Hate comments will be deleted. Don't bother posting them. You will only be wasting your own time.Without further ado, please enjoy.

There was something stirring in the woods.
A young boy stumbled around, his sweaty hands clutching at his thin, linen shirt. His green hair floated around him like a tree's leaves. His eyes scattered across the ground, the woods, the sky, searching for the cause of the startling noise.
A twig snapped in the opposite direction. The boy flinched and turned his head.
Something was coming through the bushes, and there was nothing the boy could do but stand there, petrified to his spot. He felt like he had been turned to stone, but he could still feel his heart beating, his hitched breaths pulsing through his lungs. Why was fear affecting him now?
That was when a hand reached through the bush, and someone pushed themselves into the clearing. The boy gasped. His eyes made contact with the other's ruby red ones. Wind rustled up his platinum blonde hair, which was spiked up as always. The only thing on his chest was a necklace that had a few sharp teeth dangling on it, and his pants were simple and brown.
The boy emerged from the bush. "Deku?" He asked, his voice light.
It took a short moment for the green haired boy to react, but he soon ran up and nestled himself into a hug. "K-Kacchan!"
The older wasn't surprised. He slowly wrapped his arms around the green haired boy. "Wow. You were scared out here just by being alone?"
The other didn't respond. He just nuzzled his cheek up against the taller one's shoulder.
These two boys were Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya. It was a total mystery to how they met, and an even bigger mystery to how they became friends. Yet, here they were, hiding in the forest together. Even though they were only eight, they had a bond stronger than most people could imagine. They were inseparable.
Midoriya withdrew his face, but the two kept their arms wrapped around each other. "I waited out here for you every day, but I haven't seen you in a week! I'm not that boring, am I?"
Bakugo flinched. "No! I..." His eyes softened with serenity, "I wanted to see you too. But I couldn't..."
"W-Why not?"
Bakugo scoffed. "You know why! Because I'm not allowed to!" Midoriya flinched at the shouting. The older noticed this and looked down. "Deku... I'm going to be the next dragon king. My parents think it's time they start training me for that day." It was only now when Bakugo dared to look back up to the other. "It means that I'll being seeing you less and less..."
Immediately, the other gasped. "N-No!" Midoriya insisted, and he let himself fall into another hug. By now, tears had started dripping out of his eyes.
Bakugo stretched his hands further around the other's back. "I know. I know! I don't want it either... but I have to do it." After a moment, he started to move his legs slowly from side to side to give his friend a comforting sway. A hand trailed up to his hair, and he gently played with the bottom of it.
