A few hours have passed since the group left the ground, and now, they were soaring in the skies on a steady level. Kirishima and Kaminari were gliding easily along the clouds, their long wings stretching out to split the puffy clouds. On Kaminari's back, Iida had settled down, now calmly holding his arms around the prince's waist for leverage. Bakugo glanced at them, eyes hazed by the sky. His hair was lifted lightly by the drifts around him. He could feel parts of his cloak flap up from the wind. The sky barely tickled his skin, dragging tiny kisses along his skin to cool his body. Flight used to be such a small part of him, but now, it reminded him of a picture much larger than one he knew before.
It was so similar to when he was back in Draconia...
Bakugo peered his head off the edge of his dragon, surveying the ground below him. He could distantly see land through the blurred, opaque clouds. He could see the dark green of the forests, the bright blue rivers and ponds that interrupted the verdant pallet, the light brown dirt paths that travelled through. Staring at the surface made a nostalgic feeling suddenly wash over him.
"It's pretty..."
The prince's eyes opened a little more when he heard the swordsman's voice emerge through. He turned his head slightly, watching the green-haired teen lounge his head on his shoulder. Rich emerald glowed through his eyes, humming a melody of peace, warmth, and sleepiness.
"You're finally awake, eh?" Bakugo coaxed.
"Hmm..." the swordsman answered, shifting his head a little to rest against the fur on Bakugo's cloak. "Ears hurt..."
"I told you they would, idiot."
"Don't call your boyfriend an idiot..." Midoriya quietly prodded. He sat up a little more, lifting his head from Bakugo's shoulder, and stretched his arms out.
"Oh come on, you know I didn't mean it."
"What's that?" Midoriya teased. "Sorry, I can't hear over the pressure in my ears. But you wouldn't care, since I'm such an idiot."
Rolling his eyes, Bakugo reached over and pulled forward his satchel. He opened the flap and dug around in it. Midoriya curiously watched over his shoulder, until unexpectedly, Bakugo was handing a small pouch to him.
"W-What's this?"
"Take it."
Midoriya reached out and retrieved the small bag. When he pulled the drawstrings apart, he saw many tiny pieces of assorted food.
"Almonds, walnuts, crackers... what are these weird flat things?"
"Something called banana chips," Bakugo stated. "They're from your kingdom. You should know them."
"Never heard of them." Midoriya picked one up and eyed it, It looked strange, like a yellow-brown disc flattened and crystalized. He took it between his teeth and cracked off half of it to eat. "Hmm... tastes weird. How is this supposed to - ack! What was that?!"
