This was the fourth night since the Battle of Ostus, the failure that weighed down on All for One's shoulders like heavy chains attached to giant boulders. The memories of his defeat were stuck repeating in his mind. It was a curse that refused to let him be free. That defeat shouldn't have happened! They were ready, prepared with an advantage so strong that surely nothing could beat it!
But that swordsman... that damn swordsman... Where did the idea of taking magic from the goddess come from? And how was she still alive?
It didn't matter. The four gifts from the gods were still around, even after all these centuries, and they were just as powerful as before. But there was no way those adventurers could stop him... no, no. He had cursed races from all around the kingdom. Their magic was in his very being, and the remnants were unable to move! There was no way they could all be freed at the same time.
However, there was still the possibility of the prince of Draconia knowing about a cure. He had access to the Fire Crystal... or, the swordsman did.
If that group really could gather all four parts of the cure and free Draconia, then it would surely be over for All for One. But that wouldn't happen. All for One had too much magic, too much power, too many eyes all around Emberium. He would never fall to a group of teenagers.
Except he did. And that brought his whole argument back around.
The loss was impossible for him to believe. How could this have happened? How?! He was so mighty, and destructive, and way too strong to be brought down by a group of headstrong teenagers!
How?!
Gnawing his teeth together, he glared back up into the forest he was trekking through. It was only him and a few others - the only members of his unit being the select few that were stronger than the rest. The other rogues and mages all dispersed amongst the forests and plains, as to not act suspicious. All of Emberium would be on guard now. There's no way that King Endeavor would just sit around after an attack like that...
"You seem frustrated, master."
All for One rolled his head to the side to face his subordinate. "I am. You should be too."
"Oh, believe me. You aren't the only one who's enraged... Curse that dragon prince... and that swordsman," Shigaraki muttered. "They came out of nowhere!"
"It won't happen again," All for One declared.
"But... it is certainly odd. Didn't you say that the prince would stay in Draconia? And if he's out here, then who's protecting the kingdom right now?" Shigaraki questioned.
