Extras - Quarter Two

Welcome back everyone! How was quarter two? Was it good? Bad? So amazing you can't stand it or so terrible you want to punch the screen? Be sure to let me know.

Also, sorry about having the last chapter be over 6000 words. I got a little carried away (￣▽￣)ノ. Either way, let's get to the extras!

The Town of Mages was heavily inspired by Wiccan and Arabian culture, as well as Vesuvia, which is the setting of The Arcana. Fair Isles Village was heavily inspired by Seafolk Village from Pokémon Sun and Moon, as well as Dragon Roost Island from Wind Waker.

The first dragon queen, Zenobius, was named after the Syrian warrior Zenobia.

Sana fruits were named after the Latin word for heal, Sana. The Imper potion was named after the Latin word for power, Imperium. Both items will be used again in the future.

This is the quarter that Disney really had an impact on. When a mage conjures a dance, they have a specific song that suits their personality. I found that Tangled's Kingdom Dance suited Uraraka the most. The lake scene in chapter nineteen was also inspired by the lake scene in Brave.

Some people were confused about how an eternal dance is dangerous, so I'll go more into detail. Basically, it uses one's hormones to get them into a lustful trace, thus keeping them in the dance. When Uraraka described it 'messy', she didn't mean it in a violent way. If you're still confused, ask yourself this: what's messy and requires lust?

If I had to chose a song for the Siren's Cove, it would be the Vah Ruta Shrine A theme from BotW (the song above). It sounds kind of peaceful, but also really creepy. Also, if you listen closely, you can hear an SOS Morse code (... - - - ...) being inputted in the background over and over again.

If Bakugou had listened to the sirens, they would have sung about him being in Draconia, which would be broken of the curse, with Midoriya. If Kirishima listened, the sirens would have sung about a world where one wasn't judged for their magic. If Kaminari listened, they would have sung about a world filled with adventure and dragons. If Uraraka had listened, they would have sung about her being one of the most powerful mages in the world. If Todoroki listened, they would have sung about his freedom.

The event with Midoriya and the sirens was inspired by Percy Jackson. Annabeth did the same thing with the sirens. Meanwhile, the labyrinth was inspired by BotW's labyrinths, mainly the North Lomei Labyrinth. Here's a map of the labyrinth.

The god of water designed the labyrinth with fear in mind. He obviously didn't want people to reach the water pearl. The sirens and the labyrinth were both designed to kill anyone who came near. The sirens method of killing is obvious, but the labyrinth's is a little harder to see. Basically, it is designed to make one's heart beat so fast that they deprive themselves of oxygen. This then leads to a heart attack and then death. Oh, and it's compressed, so if someone's claustrophobic, they die a lot quicker. Fun.

Fairy magic being stronger than Draconic magic was inspired from Pokémon. The matchups are the same there.

I was going to put a scene in where Bakugou kissed Midoriya's cheek, but I decided to scrap it.

I made this aesthetic for chapter Twenty-Three. Not sure why I made it. I just did.

I was thinking of making a short side story to go along with this one. It will basically be Kirishima and Kaminari's past and how they got together. I want to do it, since KiriKami is super underrated and it deserves way more love. I would also include characters that were briefly mentioned in here but are unable to be in this story (mainly Mina). Would you guys be interested in that?

I'm also thinking of posting a book of oneshots for MHA. It will be more focused on AUs rather than ships, but don't think that I won't put ships in there. Should I post it?
