The walk to the castle was a short one.

The knights and soldiers crowded around the group, keeping them close together. Everyone moved slowly and cautiously, eyes watching every corner, but not a single voice emerged through. Crowds of people huddled up against the streets and whispered among themselves, avoiding the judgement of the soldiers and their king.

Midoriya did not wake.

Bakugou carried him all the way there, scowling at any of the soldiers that even looked their way. He only allowed his own group to glance at them. Despite the attitude, though, no one looked up. Uraraka's gaze was locked onto the gem on her staff, Kirishima and Kaminari were glancing at each other before staring at the ground, and Todoroki and Iida were watching Snow lead them through the streets.

Though everyone was weak and exhausted, they carried on.

Ostus stood tall, watching over the peaceful night... though that was not how it started.

When everyone reached the castle, most of the soldiers departed to their own assigned tasks. Servants and workers inside the castle escorted the group through the halls. They stopped in a hall that Todoroki recognized as a hall of guest rooms: places where visitors of the castle could sleep.

"Put the swordsman in one of those rooms," King Endeavor ordered.

"And feel free to place your own things in different rooms," Fuyumi added.

"Do not invite them without my permission-!"

"They've earned it!" Natsuo hushed. "They chased away the sorcerer, and it's already dusk! Just this once, let your pride down."

With the prince and princess's permission, the group all found themselves their own rooms and tucked their supplies in. Bakugou claimed a room for Midoriya, moving in slowly to not disturb him. Each of the rooms were the same: surprisingly large for a guest room, with a queen-sized bed fitted by fresh, clean, white sheets. The only other things in the room was a nightstand with a small candle, a large mirror, a long window in the back, a lounging chair, and a door that led to a bathroom. Bakugou nudged his way into the room and softly placed Midoriya on the bed. He then moved to take Midoriya's shoes and socks off, then tucked him into the sheets.

How long would he be asleep? He hadn't moved since giving up the goddess's power.

Bakugou slid the blankets up Midoriya's body, then pressed a small kiss against the lowest freckle on his right cheek. "You're really stupid, you know? Taking that risk for us. Could have gotten yourself killed... Wake up soon, shitty Deku."

He then forced himself to stand, and with one last glance, he walked away and out the door. He slowly closed the door behind him, keeping the silence for the swordsman inside. Peaceful rest was deserved.
