Eri sat down in the lantern she was trapped in, leaning her body on the glass pane. Her hand was pressed against it, soft and smooth on the cold structure, but she had stopped trying to break herself out days ago. Any hope of escape that remained dwindled away like a dandelion's seeds in the wind.
How many days has she been here? She recalled the past events to try and remember...
Three days.
Since she was captured, she was interrogated more and more about her home, more specifically, her leader. Eri tried to resist the best she could, but the torture she was put through made her spit the answers out.
She feared this.
She wanted nothing more than to go home.
In the lantern, on the opposite side of her, was a small berry waiting to be eaten. But Eri only left it alone. Her appetite disappeared a long time ago.
Eri tried to learn as much as she could about the sorcerer, but he was so mysterious and vague, it was difficult to know one fact about him! First off, how was he using a mermaid's magic? Not only that, but he has used a dragon's magic too. Second, what was he planning to do with the fairies?
The fairy hoped her answers didn't harm her home.
She watched as the sorcerer read through ancient books, ones she had not heard of before, with torn binding and pages curled by age. But from where the lantern was, she couldn't read a single word. That only made the sorcerer seem more distant.
A few others often joined him in his studies. Most of the time, Shigaraki and Kurogiri were there, but there were occasionally some other mages that joined.
On the third day, three new people showed up.
"Hello~!"
Eri flinched at the voice, which was something high and girly. The suspect of the voice approached the room as Eri watched. She was short, with blonde hair messily tied up in buns, but her hair looked messy and wild. Two others followed behind her, one large one with muscles larger than the fairy has ever seen, and one who looked sleek and quick. He wore several swords all over his body like decorations.
Eri's eyes widened at the sight. Who are these people?
The girl skipped in, like she was playing a game with every step. "Guess who's back from the kingdom! Sorry that I didn't bring any souvenirs, we didn't have much gold to spare."
Shigaraki, who was standing in the corner, only groaned. "Great. Why are you back so early?"
"I couldn't wait to see everyone!" she exclaimed. "Is it so wrong for me to want to see my lovely friends?"
Shigaraki rolled his eyes from underneath the hand on his face.
The sorcerer turned his head, asking, "How did the mission go?"
