It was damn near impossible to see inside the caverns.

Midoriya could only pick out small things he saw: the elements glowing from inside his bag, the outline of one of the other adventurers, the flash of light that emerged when the doors closed behind them.

"Conjure: Light," a whispered voice came from the darkness. A gentle white glow came out from the shadows and lit up the area around them. Uraraka stood in the middle of the group, holding her staff up high to gesture towards everyone else. "Is everyone alright?"

"We just walked through a door, witch," Bakugo scoffed. "We're fine."

"I mean, not to be pessimistic or anything, but this is a holy temple, meaning that the god ruling this place is probably going to try and kill us," Kaminari muttered.

Another light came sparking from the side, produced by a small lantern Todoroki kept with him. The candle inside flickered brightly from his hands. Yellow and white contrasted each other and clashed with an array of chromatic beauty. "We have at least two light sources," stated the prince. "We'll be fine."

The faint glow of Uraraka's magic and the candlelight glowed around the caverns inside. Dark grey walls were surrounding the room in no particular direction, showing off the many cracks and crevices in the walls. It was difficult to see anything that wasn't close to them. Midoriya could just barely see how far apart the walls were.

Then, he noticed something strange about the walls. He pulled out one of the jars containing holy magic and used the light to guide him. The closer he came to the inscribings on the wall, the more it revealed itself, and suddenly Midoriya was staring at a wall full of ancient secrets. Large words were written all around the cave's dark walls with maroon colored paint, their curves and lines showing off the majesty of language. But the swordsman didn't know what they said.

He urged the other members of his group to come closer by waving his hand. "Guys, there's something here. It's... I think it's some kind of writing, but I can't tell what it says..."

The rest of the members came strolling over, holding the light as far up as they could. More and more of the paint was revealed to them. The maroon color had shifted into different colors as it traveled further up the rocks. Midoriya swore he could see pictures inside the words.

"That's draconic..."

Midoriya turned to his side, properly facing Bakugo as he heard the other proclaim, "That's draconic... That's my language!"

"The language isn't yours, Bakugo," Todoroki sighed.

"Shut it, smartass! You know what I meant! It's, gods, talking like this is so outdated. We haven't used this way of speaking in centuries. Who wrote this?"
