Tired, angry and unhappy, was her expression when she started preparing for school. Amy was never one of those kids who had both parents with them, had several siblings and actually loved schooling. No, she wasn't that. She was different. Maybe in a weird way, or let's just say her life at home made her who she was in real life.

"You ready for school?" Her mother asked her. She looked at her without uttering a word and walked upstairs to her room. She wasn't ready to watch her mother whine about her headache from staying out late.

"Can my life get any better?" Amy asked herself as she put everything she needed into her backpack. She looked out her window and saw the school bus coming to a stop infront of her house.

"The bus is here." She heard her mother shout from downstairs. She sighed, ready to go and meet the life she called "boring". Well, except when she was around Kayla, her bestfriend.

She walked down the stairs, but stood to look at her mother. Suddenly, "Jane! You coming up?" They heard a man call from upstairs.
"Great! She brought home a man." Amy thought to herself. Her mother smiled at her.

"Have a lovely day at school dear." She said, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

As much as Amy cared about her mother, she wasn't happy she forgot to make her breakfast, like always. She shook that anger away and walked out the door. There was no need for a simple word or a goodbye to her mother. As far as she was concerned, her mother had other important things to deal with. She took her seat in the school bus and watched her house as the bus took off. Her day just began.

Just A Summary Of Amy's Already Written Diary.

Amy's Diary/ POV

Tired, angry and unhappy is what I can call my feelings this morning. My mother came home late today also. I can't really tell the time for which she came but I stayed up late, waiting for her. Preparing for school now. The last thing I want to see is her whining about headaches from staying up late. Sometimes I just wish I could lock myself up in my room and never go to school or see my mom. I know it's absurd but trust me this is exactly what I want right now.

Infront of her locker at school, she kept reminiscing over her mother being called by the man upstairs and how she felt about that. She wasn't to judge her mother's actions, but deep down, she wanted her mother's focus to be on her.

"Hey Reddie!" She heard someone call, and looked towards that direction. It was Kayla. She smiled.

"Really?" She asked, closing her locker.

"What?" Kayla asked flippantly.

"I told you I hate that name." Amy responded.

Kayla giggled, "well, it not my fault you have beautiful red hair."

Amy smiled and thought of how glad she was to have Kayla as a friend. They walked to class and took their seats. Kayla sat in the same row as Amy, but was a column away on Amy's right, when facing the board. Amy sat on the third seat in her column. She looked at the rest of her mates.

In the usual way, they would talk to eachother until the teacher arrives. Kayla moved to Amy's seat and sat beside her.

"Hope you are aware the school is departmentalizing today." Kayla told Amy, whose facial expression changed. She clearly needed an elaboration.
