William was worried. A week had gone by and there wasn't a word of Scarlett's existence. This was a woman he was beginning to fall inlove with, a woman he could see his future with, but something or someone was in their way and he didn't know what or who.
He sighed and looked at Jane who was sitting opposite him, in her living room.
"She will never disappear without a trace. It isn't like Scarlett."
Jane placed her hand on William's. He was extremely worried and didn't have the energy and right state of mind to teach Amy, so she decided that they sit down to talk about his worries, which was how William told her about Scarlett, the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
"She seems like a really nice person. I am sure she is fine wherever she is." She said, trying to help him forget his worries.
William smiled lightly, "I hope so Jane." He said, looking behind Jane just to see Amy standing there looking at them.
She was dressed up nicely like she was going out to the park.
William cleared his throat, drawing Jane's attention to Amy's presence.
She quickly moved her hand away from his. She stood to her feet to look at Amy. They were not in talking terms, but they still said a few things to each other when needed to.
"Wow! Don't you look beautiful." Jane complimented, taking a few steps forward, "Where are you off to?" She calmly asked.
"To have fun with my dad." Amy simply answered, causing Jane's expression to change.
"He is taking the family out for fun. I believe he will be here any time soon." Amy added.
Jane swallowed lightly, trying to look strong. She didn't want to go down in tears infront of her daughter. She knew she was divorced from her father, but no one could deny the pain and jealousy she felt knowing how happy he was with another woman.
William looked at Jane's light blue eyes, and saw how she tried to hold back tears. He immediately took her hand, causing her to look at him. He smiled at her, "I'm here with you." He softly said, causing her heart to fall into instant peace.
"Well, I hope you have fun." She said, looking at an anxious Amy.
Not long after, they heard a knock at the door.
Jane let go of William's hand and walked to the door, opening it with a nervous expression.
"Hi." William heard a deep male voice say.
Jane looked at the tall, black haired, well built man of about thirty years with intense admiration.
As she stood there, she clearly understood why she snatched him away from her sister.
Words couldn't describe John Watts' godly handsomeness. He smiled at her and she almost fainted. No, she wouldn't lie to herself. No, she wouldn't deceive herself anymore. She was clearly inlove with John and she wanted him back.
