After the awards ceremony came to a close, the students headed back to the school to change into our regular uniforms. My back stung a bit when I put on my white button-up and I winced at the feeling.
Damn Bakugou....
Once I had the uniform on, I walked back to class and sat down in my seat. The bandage on my face was starting to irritate me, I didn't want to touch it though so I took out a ball of yarn from my bag and started to distract myself with it.
"Nice work. You have the next two days of school off to recuperate."
I looked up at our mummified teacher as I poked my ball of yarn. I could feel Katsuki's angry eyes as he glared at my back. He's still mad at the outcome of the Sports Festival, and the last time I saw him, he still had the gold medal All Might gave him hanging from his mouth.
"I'm sure the pros who watched the festival will wanna recruit some of you. We'll look over the draft forms and update you when you return. Get some rest. You still have a lot of training."
"Yes sir!"
Mr. Aizawa then left the classroom, giving us the go-to leave. I quickly slung my bag over my shoulder and walked back to Izuku's desk. He was struggling to pick up his bag so I bent down and grabbed it. His eyes snapped up to look at me and they widened.
"Y-you don't need to do that (Y/N)! I got it!" He exclaimed standing up from his seat to grab the bag. I stepped back and out of his reach, a frown settling on my face.
"You still have casts on both of your arms. I'm carrying your bag and walking you back home." I stated making his jaw drop.
"(Y/N)....."
"Now c'mon! I'm sure your mom is worried sick about you." My frown disappeared and a smile took its place.
Izuku only nodded and we walked out of the school side by side. On our way to his home, we talked about what we were going to do on our break.
"I'm going to visit the cat shelter in the city. My mom goes there regularly and donates money all the time." I said making Izuku smile.
"Your mom really likes cats huh?"
"Yeah, she does. And a lot of kids know her in that part of town, so she tries to stay longer to play with them."
Izuku nodded again and I could see his place come into view. His mom was waiting in the front of the apartment complex and when she saw us, her small legs immediately started moving.
"Izuku!!!" She yelled coming to an abrupt stop to hug her son.
"You did amazing out there!! I'm so proud of you! I got everything on tape so you can watch it again!!" She exclaimed and I smiled.
"(Y/N) darling! Thank you so much for taking care of him!" The green-headed mom then pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back and smiled even more.
"It was no problem Mrs. Midoriya. I'll do anything for Izuku." I said making the freckled boy blush and his mom hug me tighter.
