Chapter 37

This can't be happening....not now!! 

I stood on shaky legs, my canines biting into my lower lip again, and again, and again

"Of all times my h-heat could hit......it had to be n-now." I hissed out as I stumbled out of the elevator.

Small spasms hit my abdomen in waves, each one making me hiss and growl like an animal. I have....dealt with my heat before...it was my first one though, and I had mom by my side. Guiding me through everything. It only lasted for three days, which is short compared to actual cats, but mom told me that I was part human, obviously. So my human genes made things a tiny bit easier for me.

"S-Shit!" I stopped walking completely, my shoulder hitting the wall, and my body slowly starting to curl up. An intense smell hit my nostrils, and it made the spasms so much more intense.

I-I smell grass..trees...cinnamon... 

My eyes widened and I quickly shot my head up to look to my left. Right across from me was Izuku's dorm door. I instantly clamped my hand over my nose and stumbled forward to start running to my dorm.

H-His scent is so strong! If I get anywhere near Izuku like this....IM SCREWED!! 

I bit my lower lip again, this time drawing blood. The taste of iron in my mouth didn't bother me though, all I cared about was getting into my dorm and calling dad.

I need his help! This'll be embarrassing as hell! But I don't have a choice! 

Once I was at my door, I threw it open and slammed it shut behind me. I quickly grabbed my phone off my desk and speed dialed my dad.

"Please pick up, please pick up, please pick up-"

"(Y/N)! Hey kit--"

"DAD! D-DAD! I-It happened again!" I basically screamed into the phone once I heard his voice, probably making his eardrums burst at how loud I was.

"W-What happened again sweetie?" He asked nervously, hearing my slightly labored breaths through the phone.

"My....my heat....I-It's happening again." I whimpered out, sitting on the carpeted floor, and curling up into a ball while holding my stomach.

Dad went silent for a moment, either thinking about what to say or was in shock.

"Please dad....I know mom knew more about this stuff...but you also knew what was going on....I just need some help." I whimpered again before my face scrunched up in discomfort, another spasm making my body curl up even more.

"Okay, (Y/N). I can give you some advice that can help. Your mother had some ways of getting through hers. Most of them were pretty effective. So...... one of them was playing with yarn." 

My eyes widened at his words and I shot my head up to look for my bag of yarn. I slowly got out of my ball and started to search my room.

"Your mother had to distract herself, and one of the things she loved most was playing with yarn. It's why she disappeared for a day or two once a year." Dad explained as I opened my closet and pulled out my bag of yarn.

"W-What else dad?" I asked, staring down into the pit of yarn I had. My hands reached for a (F/C) ball of yarn, and I leaned back to start fiddling with it.

"She listened to her favorite songs, it was usually very upbeat tunes. Lots of loud music."

I only nodded at this to set my phone down and put it on speaker. The spasms in my abdomen were slowing, and I can finally think with a clear head.
