With my eyes closed, I breathed in and out slowly. The grass under my legs poked my skin. My ears twitched at every owl hoot and cricket chirp that was made.
SNAP!
There!!
I quickly made a pointed spear, turned around, and hopped up into a throwing position. I threw the spear into the darkness of the woods surrounding me and opened my (E/C) eyes again. Through the darkness of the trees, I saw my mom in a shocked position as she looked down at the spear near her stomach. The pointed part was embedded into the tree next to her.
"W-wow, you've gotten really fast over the past two weeks." She stuttered out stepping away from the spear. "Your aim has also improved, you could've hit me if this were a real fight." She stated walking up to me.
"Sorry mom, was that too close?" I asked dusting the dirt off my legs.
"No, it was perfectly fine. I asked you to put in your all in this training, and you did." She then wrapped her arms around my shoulders and pulled me into a hug. "You'll do great in the Sports Festival."
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her as well. I felt my tail swish from side to side as my mom showered me with love and care.
"Thanks mom."

"Awww man, I was totally hoping we would be able to wear our costumes." Ashido complained looking down at her U.A. gym uniform
"At least everyone will be wearing the uniform, that'll keep things fair right?" Ojiro replied to her complaint with a smile.
"I wonder what they have in store for us in the first round." Sato looked over at Tokoyami who had his head facing the table.
"No matter what they have, we must persevere."
"EVERYONE!! GET YOUR GAME FACES ON!!" Iida barged into 1-A's prep room yelling. "WE'RE ENTERING THE ARENA SOON!!!"
Izuku and I stared at Iida and then turned away to look at each other with nervous smiles.
"H-how was training for you (Y/N)?" He asked scratching the back of his head.
"It was good, my mom helped me most of the time since I needed to know how to get a grip on my new skills and senses." I said pointing to my twitching cat ears.
Izuku nodded at me before looking down at his hands. I then looked past the green-headed boy to see Todoroki walking up to us.
"Midoriya." He said with a stoic look on his face.
"Hey, Todoroki, what's up?" Izuku asked looking up at him.
"From an objective standpoint, I think it's very clear that I am stronger than you."
My mouth dropped at Todoroki's words.
"U-uh.....yeah." Izuku agreed with him.
"However, you've got All Might in your corner helping you out. I'm not here to pry about what's going on with you two, but know that I will beat you." Todoroki then turned to look down at me.
