"I am still learning."
- MichelangeloAnd so you delve through the darkness with ease, wash it aside, and lose yourself in a state of enchanting bliss. To see beauty everywhere, to share in the joy of all things, to make your own joy with only the wit of your imagination. It is that pure rush, whether high or not, that excitement for life, a true sense of happiness, contentment, and connection to the world and to the universe. You are on the path to enlightenment, to reach the stage of light, burning brighter than ever before.
One of my favourite songs in my youth was R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion. I guess growing up, realising the truths of life, we do lose our religion, our beliefs about the world and life that we took for granted in our innocence. But now at last I have found something more, now I have found a balance with the world and with life, now I have forged my own religion.
Being capricious is a state of mind. It means rejecting stubbornness and ignorance. To never stop thinking, questioning and growing, always willing to consider different ideas and viewpoints, a philosophy constantly in flux. It means chasing wisdom and knowledge, constantly discovering and experiencing different sensations, different worlds, different lives, an intellectual of all subjects. There is anxiety from the chaotic nature of being so, but also a unique, wider perception of beauty, an intensity to all emotions and feelings, and a closer interaction to ecstasy in its many manifestations. We realise more and more about our very nature, the deeper truths of life and existence. All is no longer just black and white, but full spectrums of colour that propel our intellect forward, spurring our inspiration, eventually reaching a higher state of consciousness, independent of reality. Being capricious is an identity, a philosophy, it is for those that are so, the very meaning of their life.
I am a philosopher, I am an adventurer, I am a dreamer, I am capricious.
