When the weekend finally arrives after five long, boring school days, everyone will have different plans. Some people will consider it a day filled with doing boring things like catching up with studies. Some people consider it to be a day spent with family doing our favorite pastime – lazing around, watching television with a tub of popcorn.

To me though, it has always been a day where I can play catch up with my precious sleep. With no one to disturb me, I was as usual sleeping in, trying to get in as much sleep as I could in the two-day break I had before I had to go back to school again. I was relishing my dreamless sleep, cuddling my favorite pillow.

I don't think there would be anyone in this world cruel enough to disturb me at the moment. I – Ugh!

The pillow that I was cuddling was forcibly pulled out of my hold and my body jerked, annoyed. Luckily for me, my pillow pulled away from me, startled me, but just not enough to wake me from my peaceful sleep. Groaning, I buried my face more into my pillow, willingly for whatever – or in my case whoever – it was that was here to disturb me from my blissful sleep, to go away.

Even though my sleep wasn't as disturbed as the intruder had hoped it to be, my mind was slightly awake than before. And due to this, I was immensely aware of my surroundings, which was a bad thing as it was meddling with my brain and thus not allowing me to fall back into my peaceful, serene sleep.

A few seconds passed before the intruder sighed. "Come on, Care." I felt the bed dip slightly next to me and soon I felt someone trying to shake me. Groaning, I pushed their hand away. Whoever the intruder was, he or she knew me well enough to know that I hated being woken up in the middle of my sleep. Though their touch felt familiar, I couldn't place a face to the touch. It was maddening.

Just when I thought that the intruder had given up and left, a strong arm draped itself around my waist, pulling me closer to the person, in a way that they were cuddling me instead of me cuddling a pillow. A relaxing sigh escaped my lips as my mind recognized the person to whom the familiar touch belonged.

"Luke, stop breathing down my neck," I complained trying to pull my neck away from his assault, "Your breath is too warm."

"Care," he groaned, "Wake up. I have an entire day planned for us."

Giving up, I opened one eye – not willing to open both my eyes just yet – and looked at my idiot best friend's smiling face over my shoulder. I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to telepathically communicate with him. If you don't stop trying to wake me up, you're going to end up as my ex-best friend. I closed my eyes again, trying to go back to sleep.

I felt Luke's chest vibrate against my back as he shook with silent laughter, enjoying my misery. He wrapped his arms tightly around my shoulders and placed a kiss on the top of my head. As cliché as it sounds, my heart skipped a beat. His gesture was so affectionate, that it made my insides melt a little.

"Come on, Care, you know you owe me for bringing you home yesterday," he shook me lightly, still not giving up, "It's already very late. Wake up."

When I realized that my time was up and he wasn't going to let me continue my sleep, I opened my eyes grumpily and turned around so we were face to face with each other, "I don't want to."

"Stop whining," he chuckled, "Get up."

Raising my head slightly, I placed my chin over my chest, letting him see how unhappy I was with him at that moment. Luke, undeterred by it all, smiled widely at me. The same damn smile he always gives me. "Why is it that every time I'm in the middle of a good sleep, you're always around to try and take it away from me?"
