About a month later, I was in my room, my homework laid out in front of me, my mind was elsewhere though. Phone in hand, I was eagerly waiting for Reece's message. We were talking after a long time and the idiot said he might like a girl before he vanished. I've been staring at my phone since then, willing for it to notify me of a reply from him. No such luck, yet.
"What are you doing?"
My head snapped to the side to see Luke standing there in his room, by his window, a big smile plastered on his face. He was just wearing his jeans which were hanging lowly down his hips and his torso was bare as he stood before me shirtless. I gulped peeling my eyes off his chest before locking my eyes onto his handsome face.
Handsome? What the heck? Where the hell did that come from?
It's not that he was not handsome, because he was. He was the most handsome boy I have ever seen, but the fact that I was acknowledging that was weird, even to me. It isn't like I have not seen him shirtless before, because I have; heck I have even seen him with just his boxers on, but why the hell is all these different to me now.
"Hello?" Luke asked playfully, "Is anybody home?"
I blinked and blinked again to clear my thoughts. "Sorry," I murmured, shaking my head, I came up with a quick excuse, "I was Reece-zoning."
"That was Reece?" he snapped his fingers in realization and grinned at me, "How is that idiot?"
"Good," I nodded, getting off the bed and walking over to my room's window, "Apparently the idiot now likes a girl too. Like really likes the girl."
"Really?" Luke let out an amused laugh, "I thought I'd not live to see the day when Reece Rogers of all the people liked a girl."
"Me either," I laughed, shaking my head.
He nodded and then looked at me with an exciting gleam in his eyes, "So, are you ready to go or what?"
I frowned looking down at my clothes. "I need to change first."
Before you guys assume something else: This is not a date. Remember the ice cream place that Theo had promised to take me to, a month ago? Yeah, that idiot is taking all of us there today. Shame. I tell you; if everyone were going to be there, they were going to keep tabs on my ice cream intake.
"Go do that first," Luke shooed me with his hands playfully, "I will be waiting for you downstairs."
"Alright," I chuckled, "And you," I pointed at him with my forefinger and waved it playfully, "Go and put on a shirt."
"Why?" he smirked raising an eyebrow at me and pointed at his bare chest, "Is this making you uncomfortable?"
"Psh!" I rolled my eyes at him, "I just thought that you should not be coming out with us looking like some tribal boy."
Luke laughed. "Maybe we should dress with a theme?" he raised an eyebrow at me, "What would you say if I told you that we will make this a costume ice cream date?"
"Is there even something like that?"
He rolled his eyes at me. "There is. If not, let's create it!"
"Okay," I agreed, nodding my head as I played along with him, "What costume would you suggest for us?"
Luke's smirk was unsettling. It flipped something in my stomach. "How about the costume that the boy and girl wear in..." he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, "Blue lagoon?"
My heart thumped faster and I hoped that the distance between our windows will prevent him from seeing the flush in my cheeks. My hands started to shake as I took in his smirking face and glowing eyes.
